Dang... it's more easy to say what music I DON'T like. I don't like bad music. I am moderately affected by moderately good music. I listen to very good music many times if I have it or can get it. Great and sublime music that truly rocks, no matter what genre, has been known to change both my life and my musical directions. What do you like to listen to?
Movies
Lost in Translation, Star Wars 4-6, Day After Tomorrow, Clockers, and about 2002 more movies. I occasionally like really serious but bad movies. My current fave is Demons At The Door- about averting the end of the world. It is hilarious. But you must like bad movies to enjoy a bad movie unless you just like to ridicule bad movies that are actually out there on DVD to rent. Send me your list.
Television
Lost, Desperate Housewives, 24, Simpsons, Gilmore Girls, American Dreams, Charmed, Twilight Zone, Six Feet Under, Saturday Night Live, Conan; NOT Jerry Springer but I can't help watching sometimes 'cause it is so VERY WEIRD; anything that comes one late on free TV that isn't a freaking INFOMERCIAL; NOVA; anything with scantily clad females in it, such as The Lost World, She Spies, Soul Train, Elimidate, etc... I'm easy... with the babes... on TV...
Books
Bible, Bagavad Gita, Upanishads, Writings of Baha U'llah, Huckleberry Finn, Tale of Two Cities, Sexus, Plexus, Nexus, Silas Marner, The Stand, History of God, A Brief History of Time, The Pearl, anything by Anais Nin, The Book of Knowledge, Poetry collections, Autobiography of a Yogi, Stranger in a Strange Land, Truth, Intermediate Truth, Advanced Truth and Beauty, The Secret of Life, Death 101, and a whole bunch of other books are my favorites. Currently reading Ka. About the Hindu gods and thier origins. Fascinating.
Heroes
The greatest hero and the one I would most like to emulate is .."_blank">
Jesus of Nazareth. Other heroes are Mark Twain, Bod Dylan, Peter, Paul, and Mary, the Beatles, Segovia, Jimmy Carter, Paramanhansa Yogananda, Baha U'llah, Sri Yukteswar, Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull, Geronimo, The chief that said, "from where the Sun now stands, I will fight no more forever.." Martin Luther King and my father, James C. Tollerson.
I am sure that there are more... but they must be saying "don't write me down! I'm not a freaking hero! I just [do /did /will do ] what I [have to /had to /must ] do.." these unsung heroes are hanging out at the periphery of my awareness, eluding me....
