I'm a professional artist and illustrator living and working in England. I'm inspired by nature and patterns, stories and symbolism, birds and trees, which I incorporate into my paintings and illustrations. My art, which is often compared to the work of Maurice Sendak and Edward Gorey, has been described as 'simultaneously charming and edgy'.
I exhibit with galleries in Suffolk and London, and you can also buy selected pieces directly from me or from my Etsy shop 'The Blackbird Sings'. I recently completed a new collection of work for a show in Aldeburgh, Suffolk, in May 2009 called The Silent Landscape, and I'm also working on my first solo show, to be held at Serena Hall Gallery in Southwold, Suffolk in October 2009.
My art has been featured on many websites and blogs including The Creep Machine, Design Is Mine, The Beat That My Heart Skipped, Coriandr, Cuteable, Moo, Apartment Therapy, and Mad Atoms. In 2007 I was commissioned to create the artwork for singer-songwriter Amit Erez's self-titled CD album. The album was released in December 2007.
