Born in ..77 and grown up somewhere in Western Germany. First major impression of the cure and danger of modern technologies in 86 when Tschernobyl went up in flames. That..s why I think of "Radioactivity" as one of Kraftwerk..s greatest songs by the way...
During the 90s I fell in love with all kinds of psychedelic music from the Sixties up to contemporary songs and bands. If someone is willing to analyse the reasons for my likes of mindaltering sounds while DJing - save time, there it is!
When I saw Jeff Mills in ..96 at Psycho Thrill my perception of life in general and music in particular changed completly. No need for words and verse/chorus/verse structures anymore. I have never found a remedy and am still infected.
Since I have started collecting records during the 90..s the next step was very easy to expect: Bought a pair of 1210s and a mixer in 2003 and started mixing.
Since the beginning of 2006 I am hosting the "Headphunk"-radioshow for all sorts of underground techno and house. In Sept 06 I played the first time at Cologne..s "Psycho Thrill" and have become one of the residents now.
Beside from "Headphunk" I am hosting the "Hirnströme-Psychedelic Radio And Magazine"-show with a friend of mine where we spin all kinds of psychedelic music from the early 60s up to the hottest new stuff!
