Many myths and legends have been written about "Those Rowdy Corinthians". Some say that Josh Compton rolled into town one day as a carnival worker, playing guitar for the Strong Man, living off of caramel apples and cotton candy, and combing the Bearded Lady's mustache on the side. While taking a break from work one day, he was walking along the Sugarcreek River and happened upon the most beautiful singing voice he had ever heard. He followed the voice and found Samantha Adams sitting alone among the reeds and willows, strumming her guitar and singing. After that, he never returned to the circus.
In other stories, Comtpon has been described as a horse thief, a train engineer, a truck driver, and a door-to-door vacuum salesman, though there is no evidence to support any of these claims (aside from a train engineer's hat).
Another, more likely legend, has it that the two began their partnership in the basement of a Mennonite Church, singing along to a Sufjan Stevens song.
It's hard to say which myth is true; only that two souls with a fondness for Civil War era songs, sea chanteys, and Alan Lomax songbooks found each other and are in love.

Earlham has a "wilderness experience" that I'm doing starting July 22nd, then classes start in the middle of August, immediately afterward. Should be fun. I've thought of the "band name for one guy" thing and it's struck me as kind of pretentious. Hopefully I'll be in a real band in college and won't have to worry about it. As for being in my top 12: Don't be ridiculous. Although I have noticed that I have been steadily dropping in rank since I was your #1...
"I'm old school, I don't like to talk alot, I try and keep it humble. But, at the same time, and I good? Yeah. Fate has me highly skilled and talented."
"Do you think there is a chance your mom won't love you anymore when she sees how badly your getting beaten right now."
Well daggone it anyway!! I have been so busy working on the house that I have not been on myspace in AGES and just now saw the bulletin... a few days too late.
We need to decide that we will not go to war, whatever reason is conjured up by the politicians or the media, because war in our time is always indiscriminate, a war against innocents, a war against children. War is terrorism, magnified a hundred times. - Howard Zinn
