LIVE E.P AVAILABLE ON NOVEMBER 30th ON ITUNES !!!!!!!!!!!!
Hailing from Winchester, Thos Henley plays modern baroque folk/pop on Ukulele's, Guitar's, Balalaika's, Bouzouki's and Banjo's. His songs are ones of sorrow and woe, spread out like classic literature over mature ballads. Think Beirut shaking hands with The Shins as Paul Simon ties each others shoe laces together.
Summer On The Thames Ltd Edition Tape Out Now in Puregroove and Norman Records and from myself.
A Side - Summer On The Thames
(Hidden Track - shhhhhhhhh!)
B Side - The Castle
A banjo being plucked backed by handclaps is always a good start to a song. Meeting in a library, Thos goes on to sing about doplphins and whales, swimming in the summer and how “they” don't swim again.Who is he talking about? Not too sure, but the banjo continues, naked foliage cavorting and smiling soldiers all seem to want to get in on the action. It's a sweet little song to wet temples and float your life away.Nice - ARTROCKER MAGAZINE AUGUST 2008
Next up is a tape/ cassette on Tape Club Records from Thos Henley. 'Summer On The Thames' is a chirpy singer songwriter/ indie pop tune with banjo that may well appeal to folks who like Darren Hayman. 'The Castle' is a really catchy, earnest song that sounds very familiar for some reason. This label clearly have their quality control in place. Green tape and all! - NORMAN RECORDS AUGUST 2008
A cover of Leona Lewis' 'Bleeding Love' really shouldn't work. Deprived of the powerhouse notes, and that voice, this should fall flat on its ass. It doesn't- not in the able hands of Thomas Henley (band spelling intentional). Instead, the song is stripped right back to its emotional roots. Who needs X-Factor? - THE COLD CUT
Forthcoming single 'Summer On The Thames' is a lovely slice of breezy folk pop, in much the same vein as Noah & The Whale. The real revelation, however, is his cover of 'Bleeding Love', the song with which Leona Lewis is now conquering America. The double tracking of his vocals with the stripped down setup gives the song a poignancy perhaps dampened by the manufactured nature of the original, before breaking in some beats to add texture. If you're missing Jeremy Warmsley, I suggest you divert your attention to Thos for the time being, at least. - KEEP HOPE INSIDE
Thos Henley's "Summer on the Thames" will be out soon on Tapeclub Records. Also Feast your ears on his lo-fi version of Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love". Thos Henley has played with Mystery Jets, Jonquil and YouthMovies ... he plays folk-psych-pop music on eastern european instruments. - LOCAL VERDICT
It began as a solo project of classical British neofolk by Tom Henley - the protostaton of Thamesbeat Rival Joustas - who in the course enriched by the diverse melodies, ideas and voices of his Kaleidascopes, have formed something very beautiful: romantic and incomplete. Sounds for those who do not like to live in this time for electro-punk or post-punk. Just listen to the "Bleeding Love". - SONIC PLAYGROUND

Oh that's epic man, I'll definately try and make any shows you do in London if your tour come here.
I play around London, although at the moment I'm in the process of forming a new band to play the songs from my new album, with violin and maybe a beat-boxer! Exciting times indeed. :-)
If you need a hand getting gigs in London let me know as I know a fair few promoters here.
