Thoughts in Frame began in late January 2009 in Claremont, CA. But the roots of the band go back to June of 2008 when founding members, vocalist/guitarist Sam Mountain and guitarist Nikola Simikic began playing multiple shows together in their respective bands around the Los Angeles area. When Mountain began forming a new project, Simikic was one of the first people he called. Simikic joined in February and it was an instant fit. Thoughts in Frame hit the music scene with their debut EP "A Shade of Grey in Blue" in April 2009, and has already played with acts such as LoveHateHero, Planes Crash & The Malhereux. In August 2009, when new members were needed, Mountain and Simikic turned to their closest friends to round out the lineup, adding bassist Michael Capuano and drummer Mike Vacio to the band. The next chapter of T.I.F. has begun, and the new lineup will be back with a new EP and set of shows soon.
