About me:

Heroes' Day, by Jesse Gordon - click for info.

Here's a dirty little secret of mine: I write fiction. Science fiction, fantasy, speculative—yeah, that stuff. My first published story was "Yet Another Reality," which appeared in the March 1999 issue of Aphelion. I've since written dozens of short stories, novelettes, and novellas; a good many have been published in a variety of online and small press venues, such as: Anotherealm, Aphelion, Bewildering Stories, Deep Magic, Demensions (indeed, with an "e"), ShadowKeep, and Sword's Edge. My novels include Time Chaser, The Knack, Stories from the Steel Garden, and Heroes' Day.

Two unlikely candidates inspired my passion for writing: Star Trek (shudder) and Piers Anthony. The former I became obsessed with as a child—to the point of writing my own episodes on a scrappy 8.5x11 PenTab tablet; the latter I discovered when I was fourteen and had to do a book report for English class. Anthony's Phthor had somehow made it onto the list of acceptable books, and I was thrilled with the dark, somber scenery of Chthon. It was around this time that I decided to seriously pursue writing as a part-time career (as opposed to just a hobby).

My web site, and you just *know* I have to plug it, can be found at www.jessture.com.

Jessture.com - When you have absolutely nothing better to do...

My Novels / Anthologies:
Time Chaser (Novel) The Knack (Novel) The Midnight Recollections (Anthology) Stories from the Steel Garden (Novel) The Reformed Citizen (Anthology) Heroes' Day (Novel)
(The FREE e-book versions can always be found at my site.)

Praise from My Loyal Fans

Never mind the part where every sentient life form in the universe seems to have taken exactly the same evolutionary path as human beings, except for a few gnarly little facial outcroppings.

Here's to cheesy SF.

Best,

Hi, Jesse -

Thanks so much for the friend request! There's nothing shudder-worthy about Star Trek. I've got an idea for a Star Trek novel that would win the freakin Hugo if they'd ever let me write it. (Is it weird that that's a goal of mine? Hmm. Probably.)

Best of luck,
Kelly

Yay! More things to read! I've been slacking on my reading - taken me two months to read McCain's Faith of our Fathers :(

Lucky bugger! I've only watched it once so far, but that was at the drive-in, so I figure that counts for two just for the coolness factor ;)
