About The Thousand Mile Highs

Unashamedly, we are fans of catchy tunes and this comes across in our songs. We have influences ranging through modern indie, punk, rock and americana but our style of writing puts us somewhere between indie and punk...with melodic interjections, dynamics and harmonies.

Onstage, we aim to push our songs out with natural enthusiasm and plenty of energy; Grant (vocals) is the crowds' catalyst with bowls of frontman gusto.

We come from a growing music scene in a city which is screaming out for new and original music and, despite our comfortable upbringing, we are hungry for brighter lights and bigger cities.

People tell us they like us because we play it like it's supposed to be played: we just let the songs speak on our behalf.
