POST INDIE YEAH???////
...'They're pretty fucking decent, too, 'Under The Sun' proving a summery slab of pop, full-on early Supergrass-style but with an attractive new wave makeover. B-side 'Attack' is interesting too, aping the art pop shock treatment of early Idlewild. We shall keep a close eye on this lot. 8/10'
ROCKSOUND MAGAZINE////////////
well educated and well articulated punky stylings that veer from early adam and the ants (quite a popular move at the moment) to a real Jam feel. Which means you get the real and the feel, the pop and the rock and it's just like early sex, simple, packed with complication, but fucking ace.
UNPEELED MAGAZINE///////////
'Under The Sun combines the pacing vocals and pulsing melodies of The Faint and The Rapture, but has slightly darker interludes for contrast. Thousand Natural Shocks have managed to find the right balance between youthful exuberance and emotive song writing. 8/10'

UNDER THE SUN / ATTACK is a wonderful starting point for this Exeter based four piece...ATTACK dances to a more wired beat, yelping vocal howls, crashing guitar chords and big choruses ensuring this is a ride to remember.Original and distinctive enough to stand out from the crowd, yet familiar enough sounding to fit in with the current crop of new bands breaking through...the the future is looking blindingly bright for Thousand Natural Shocks. 'These guys played hard, neat, high slung guitars. Although much noisier than post punk pioneers Joy Division they possed that angular trait combining at a push Devo type vocal exploration.' DECODE MAGAZINE////////
'TAKE vocals akin to the Rapture, or
more pertinently Gang of Four. Mix
in a jerky stage presence resembling
the demented spasms of David Byrne.
Add a set filled with poppy, spiky new
wave tunes. And, oh yeah, theyre
quite a pretty bunch which should help
them in these fickle times. EXEPOSE MAGAZINE////////////
They are a 4 piece new wave indie-punk band from exeter by way of London.
They practice in a converted barn. The idea is indie rock as its supposed to be. Punk, then Post punk early 80s, American indie rock, British indie pop and Radiohead, These are the movements that matter to us. We're part of all the others being the next phase. . Everything is great, there is great music, electronic music is pushing things forward. So are we and other guitar bands like us. Out of this GREAT things will happen. We hope.

We would like to thank all the bands who supported Coombeshead Studios during 2007. It was our busiest year ever at just short of 100 bands, and allowed us to spend several thousand pounds on some major upgrades, launching us from a low budget studio to a fully professional setup. We continue to offer our low budget prices but offer a greater flexibility of control and greatly improved quality!
