After an enthusiastic reception of their first show after 16 years, THRASHER DEATH is back!!!
The band was very well known in the 80s’ and early 90s’ on the polish metal scene and was arousing the heavy music environments intterest, beginning with polish radio and music magazines and finishing with foreign correspondence.
The beginning of the band dates to 1985, when guitarist - Grzegorz Śmigielski (Sin Mordel) and bass player Wojciech Szlachetka (Azael) founded the band „TROLLE”. They gained soon the rest of the band: second guitarist - Anatol Glaser (Dick Hareth), vocalist – Stanisław Bąk (Asmodeusz) and the drummer – Biba. With this lineup they began to play their first shows. In 1986 the band changes it’s name and records a demo tape as „SLAVER”. In the year of 1987, after a number of line-up changes they finally changed their name into THRASHER DEATH."You Must Kill" the first demo of TD was recorded in October 1987. They started to play more and more shows with such bands like: Slavoy, Imperator, Vader, Quo Vadis, Armagedon, Leviathan, Morgoth, Distillery, Merciless Death, Scarecrow, Trytant, Slashing Death, Kreon, Aggressor. TD always had line up problems and most of this problems were caused by compulsory military service. In June 1988 the band records their second demo-tape „Women Die” in A.R.P. studio in Szczecin with a little help from Johnny (drummer - ex Merciless Death). The vocals on this demo were recorded by Dick Hareth. In 1989 Dick Hareth joins the army and the band suspends it’s activity for about one year. After a few shows in 1990 and 1991 with Galeon on the drums, THRASHER DEATH finally broke up. In 1992 the guitarists decided to set up PSYHOTRON – playing different type of metal. They recorded four cd’s (e.g. „Brain Ash” released by Metal Mind Production).But this is another cup of tea....
Currently the THRASHER DEATH gang (Present line up: Anatol Glaser – git, Grzegorz Śmigielski –git, ? – bass, ? –drums, ? – voc.) refresh their oldschool material from the 80s' to kick your ass on some future gigs and tours!
