Jeff Blevins grew up in western Columbus Ohio. Father was a Teacher, Mother was a teacher, and his favorite person in the world was a teacher, so it should be no surprise that when Jeff isn't writing tunes he is educating the generations of tomorrow. Jeff began playing guitar at the age of 14 when Kenny Caterer (a very cool cat) put the guitar in his hand an taught him how to play "under the bridge" by the Chili Peppers. He never stopped playing from that day. Jeff's music was, and continues to be a reflection of his own life sprinkled with the karmic details of those he encounters. Avid that he has never once written a song, but rather has listened to what the universe is telling him and simply scribed it, he takes little credit for his songs. Jeff spent 6 years working on a Native American reservation and learned that in order to really understand this country, you must see it all and live in 1 part of every state at least 1 time, and this is what he is attempting to do. Due to a series of unfortunate events, he has landed himself in Cincinnati, but will not be there long as the rivers of Colorado call to him daily. There have been many influential people in his life and those people are always the ones he writes his music for.
Jeff has been influenced by a great many artists including, Josh Ritter Red House Painters, Mazzy Starr, David Wilcox, John Gorka, John Prine, Sun Kil Moon, Mike Stouffer and Sigur Ros.

Hey Jeff, great to hear from you. Teacher huh? I can see that. You would be the cool one that everyone wants to be in his class. What subject and grade are you teaching? And where in Cincy are you...I lived in Mason for a while, right off of Fields-Eritle Road (Pardon the spelling, not sure if it is right) Are you married yet? Kids? Prety much what have you been up to?
