Nothing you've ever heard. Well, maybe some stuff. But it's all crammed together in the delicious bird that is Thred. We've got funk giblets, rock gravy, and soul stuffing. With a side of improvisational cranberry sauce. So it's a freakin' eargasm. But you don't go to sleep afterwards. You get busy. Then you buy a t-shirt to commemorate the freak nastiness!
THE BEGINNING. Thred is a bass driven funk rock and soul band that is not afraid to get loose and spread the juice. Powered by the ferocious Bass playing skills of Adam VanScoy, Thred is a high energy, high funktion rock band. Including the legendary Catfish on the Keys, Meotch Jones playing Guitar, and Drummers Adam Kraycar and Matt Fight. After their initial conception in the bowels of a brewery, they incorporated Brian Pickens as a singer dude.
THE NOW, MAN! THE NOW!! After a couple of years of successful shows and the production of a self-titled album (still available kids!) Mitch, Cafish and Matt decided to go their own way, which is mostly Florida. Brian and the Adams were distraught, but still wanted to do it to it...
Since then, the roster has been updated with Nick Sickles on guitar. They would prefer to let the music do the talking. Check out their downloads here, and even more at their WEBSHITE!
Hey guys! I've started posting songs to The WV Scene Playlist, but need the help of all the WV Area bands to decide how the Playlists should be done. I'd really appreciate it if you took part in the poll I've posted on The WV Scene myspace page. After all this is a site meant to look after the best interests of the artists whether they be professional or just beginning. (Be sure to add our activity stream so that we can better communicate what it is we're trying to do).
