R.I.P Stu Sobol
Veteran music industry manager Stu Sobol died yesterday (July 10) after a struggle with complications from pneumonia. He was 50.
Sobol, who moved from Cleveland to Los Angeles in his early twenties with his wife, Julie Shy, was a successful manager in the music industry for more than 20 years. After running Spivak Sobol Entertainment for many years, Sobol merged with management company The Firm in 2004. His most recent clients included Three Days Grace, Seether, Hoobatank, Ryan Star, Hawthorne Heights, Emily Osment, Eve 6 and Skye Sweetnam.
Along with his wife, Sobol is survived by his son, Adin Shy-Sobol, and daughter, Emma. Funeral services will be held at Simi Valley, Calif.' Mt. Sinai Memorial Park on July 13 at 11 a.m.
