   About Three Litre
"Three Litre are a different story altogether. “It’s a fine line”, quips Graham Burgess at one point, “as I said to Michael Barrymore that fateful night”, and that says all you need to know about the Three Litre frontman. As humorous and relaxed in delivery as he is sarcastic and verbally deadly, Three Litre gigs were once a regular occurrence before a move to Kent, a marriage and the task of Starting A Family meant that Graham essentially put the Litre on hiatus in the summer of 2005. Despite not having rehearsed since then, or maybe even as a result of it, the Milky Wimpshake/Half Man Half Biscuit-style three minute indie-pop odes tonight sound angrier than originally intended, and each muted distorted note gives way to a screeching wall of feedback. Do you hear that noise? It’s pop music laying waste to your ears. It’s what would have happened if Ian Curtis had realised that the best way to beat life is to take the piss using songs about downhill skiing, Tunbridge Wells and the music industry as his arsenal. Aurally, it’s not harsh - the songs themselves are polished, mid-tempo, calmly delivered and simply arranged - but while the songs lack chaotic energy, the onstage activity does not. Every opportunity to escape the microphone and pummel another solo out of the guitars are taken, and almost as remarkable as seeing the ample-framed drummer mount the speaker stack armed only with a cowbell, is the thought that tonight Three Litre have out-gunned their contemporaries and made it look almost unintentional." - www.drownedinsound.com The video for our second single, "G.O.D.D.E.S.S."

Reading Fringe Festival

Reading Fringe Festival

Aug 4 2009 10:40 AM

Details of more events can be found on www.readingfringefestival.com. They include one off special events from Oxfam Records, Old Orleans and The Global Cafe and Fringe themed versions of the towns host of regular music nights like Bohemian Showcase at Deja Vue and Wicked Boy Promotes at the Face Bar. Look out especially for the Accesible to the Max DJ night at the Global Cafe which is run by COMET, an organization run by and for adults with learning difficulties

Theres only 7 days till the print deadline for the Reading Fringe Festival programmes which will be distributed to the 20,000 early arrivals at the Reading Festival Campsite and also industry and media types staying in the towns hotels with nothing to do until the main festival starts. So, if you are running an event between 21st and 27th August please consider adding it to the the Fringe roster. Together the events will have more impact.

Keep tuned for more.

I won't forget...

I still remember the Bar Oz - "this is our last song" at the beginning. Followed by 30minutes of, something?..

Makes me smile thinking about it.

Life is good at Ashmont, except around this time of year, when they put a hat on me and think it’s funny. I suppose it’s a small price to pay for food in my belly and a roof over my head. My resolution for 2007 has to do with the restoration of my dignity. Anyway, best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year.

Glad to have you as a friend. I've added tracks to my page too...any comments would be most welcome - particularly if you have an interest in 1980s TV theme tune mash-ups.
