Hey All. I'm Rich,

A bit about myself... where to start? Right - I love music - live for it. I've been playing bass for over half my life now (but hey - you can't count the first few years right?) and I'm entirely self taught. I've been privileged to have been part of some great bands.

Just to name a few (in no particular order!) Black Milk (rock), Soapbar (funk), Freasonal Ceasar (rock/funk/metal/5 part vocal harmony/en vogue!), Rocket Dog (5/6 Albums as session bassist), Fat By Accident (punk), Tripswitch (rock/metal), My Deaf Audio (rock/metal) ThreeMileIsland (metalcore), Nanahara Smile (tech/prog) now an as yet un-named tech/death outfit.
In each band i've been fortunate to work with some awesome musicians (some unfortunately no longer with us) but each and every one has taught me something.

I also (occasionally - and for purely selfish reasons) book and promote Solo Bass shows - Michael Manring, Steve Lawson, John Lester......
This has led me to meet some of the people who've influenced me the most - and I'm now lucky enough to be able to call them friends.

My main bass is a custom 7 String (made by Dave Pushic in North Carolina - www.dpcustom.com -) every time I've bought a new bass, I've added an extra string (ok I'm a tart!) There are some pictures of the construction process in my blog if you're interested in that kinda thing.

I am also the manager for The Glory and Surfaces (go check 'em out)... I'm one of the Open Tage promoters, and also do a bit of graphic and web design - contact me if you need something doing :)
