About me:
Hey All. I'm Rich, bassist for ThreeMileIsland.

A bit about myself... where to start? Right - I love music - live for it. I've been playing bass for half my life now (but hey - you can't count the first few years right?) and I'm entirely self taught. I've been privileged to have been part of some great bands.

Just to name a few (in no particular order!) Black Milk (rock), Soapbar (funk), Freasonal Ceasar (rock/funk/metal/5 part vocal harmony/en vogue!), Rocket Dog (5/6 Albums as session bassist), Fat By Accident (punk), Tripswitch (rock/metal), My Deaf Audio (rock/metal) and currently ThreeMileIsland (the heaviest yet... and the new stuff just keeps getting heavier!!)
In each band i've been fortunate to work with some awesome musicians (some unfortunately no longer with us) but each and every one has taught me something.

I also (occasionally - and for purely selfish reasons) book and promote Solo Bass shows - Michael Manring, Steve Lawson, John Lester......
This has led me to meet some of the people who've influenced me the most - and I'm now lucky enough to be able to call them friends.

My main bass is a custom 7 String (made by Dave Pushic in North Carolina - www.dpcustom.com -) every time I've bought a new bass, I've added an extra string (ok I'm a tart!) There are some pictures of the construction process in my blog - go check em out.
