About three-weeks-old lovesick puppy

2004年春より活動を始め、幾度かメンバー交代・サポートメンバー参加等を経て現在の編成に。
活動開始後、「エンプティパーク」「sweeting garden」2枚のシングルを自主制作で発売。
様々なジャンルの要素を取り入れつつあくまでもポップであるサウンドと、繊細なメロディに乗るフラットな歌声はthree-weeks-old lovesick puppyの音楽の核となり、FMラジオ、有線、音楽配信サイト等で高い評価を受ける。
2007年夏、下北沢440にて初の自主企画イベント「ハイカラPOP!!! vol.1」を開催。
2008年冬、新たなメンバー交代によりさらにポップさを追求し誕生した音源「屋根裏ポスト」「stop」をMySpace内で発表。
新サウンドとして打ち込みを取り入れつつも過剰すぎない電子感と生のバンドサウンドの絶妙なバランスを武器に、よりthree-weeks-old lovesick puppyらしい形が見えてくる。

長い長いバンド名three-weeks-old lovesick puppyの由来は某アーティストの曲「Three-week-old Love Sick Puppy」からこっそり拝借したもの。 (和訳は「生後3週間の恋煩いの仔犬」)
weekをweeksに変えるという一瞬無意味かとも思わせるアレンジだが、実は"s"をつける事によって文法が間違う事になり検索エンジン等で「three-weeks-old」とだけで検索しても自分達しかヒットしないと言う仕掛けになっている。
長いので自他ともに「puppy」と略して呼ぶ事が定着しつつあるが、その裏では「やっぱり長すぎたんじゃないか・・」と不安を抱えつつ一度改名会議を開くものの、なんだかんだで「長いのもまた個性。」と開き直り、ただ今東京都内で活動中。
