THRENODIAL was founded in the summer of 2004 in Cairo Montenotte (Savona, Italy) when 4 musicians, joined by the same passion for Metal, decide to try this new adventure. As they had already played together in other bands, they have no difficult to create a clear and sharp musical-fellowship. Their purpose is writing new fresh songs, experimenting with extreme and powerful sounds. The efforts lead to the release of their first demo tape Dripping with blood Sacrifice in solitude, entirely recorded Live at Tommy Talamancas (Sadist) Nadir Studios. This Demo contains 7 tracks and Hate & Scorn (Necrodeath cover). Threnodial take part in the international contest Emergenza reaching the semi-finals and offering a vast repertoire of own songs and covers. The lack of a bass player is a strange and unusual fact that leads the band to the research of a deeper sound and peculiar stylistic solutions.
In January of 2005 Threnodial works together with a female singer with the purpose of giving more pathos and gothic sonorities to the songs. This experiment doesnt lead to the expected results and so the band turns to the old path: the Death Metal. In August Threnodial is contacted by the Italian label Cimitero Records that offers them a contract to produce an album. The 4 guys accept it and in February of 2006 they enter in DoppiopuntoStudios (Milan) to record their first albumEternalight?. The bass lines are composed by Skizzo (Kill-Again) that makes the songs even more powerful. Time passes by and while Threnodial is performing at some festivals and clubs, Bruchstein Tours offers the opportunity to take part in an European tour together with Impaled Nazarene and Master. Threnodial doesnt miss this opportunity and plays 8 shows in 10 days in Hungary, Austria and Italy. Finally Eternalight? is in stores on July 3rd and in a few time it receives positive media reactions. ...to be continued
