"With Philly's music scene suddenly exploding in all directions, [Thrilladelphia] comes dangerously close to tapping the zeitgeist."- Doug Wallen, Philadelphia Weekly
Over the past decade, weve watched Philadelphias music scene explode into a working community of artists, musicians and creative minds. But dont get us wrong. The music community doesnt exist because of Figurehead Productions; we exist because of it.
When Figurehead began, we immediately started planning the Thrilladelphia Music Festival to showcase Phillys amazing acts. Now in its third year, Thrilladelphia is Philadelphias largest indie rock festival, selling out shows in the citys premiere venues and commanding national attention.
Figurehead was started while it's founder, Jeff Anderson, cut his teeth under industry gurus such as multiple Grammy nominated producer, Phil Nicolo, and Jack Klotz, former Sigma Sound engineer. He soon found the unlimited resources that were in front of him. He continued to expand his philosophies of music and art at Beggars Group and Matador Records, Yep Roc Records and Girlie Action PR. Jeff now resides in Brooklyn, where he is the Director of Publicity at One Little Indian Records.
