If you’ve ever seen the THRILLER music video and thought, "I wish I could do that!" – this year, you will!
On October 25, 2008, (Oct. 26 in some parts of the world) zombies will get together all over the world to dance “Thriller” at exactly the same time in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for Largest Simultaneous Dance! We would like to invite you to join us! We need over 200,000 people to dance “Thriller” to win the Guinness Record. The dance is easy to learn with our FREE Thriller Teaching Videos 2.1 available on YouTube.com and on DVD. Go to www.thrilltheworld.com/learn/dvd for the FREE VIDEOS and info about the DVD. To date, the oldest participant who learned the dance in 2 hours is a 53-year-old man who had never danced before! And a 5-year-old is rehearsing for the big event, too! Anyone can Learn The Dance! Even if you have two left feet!
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:
FINAL PRACTICES TUESDAY 10/21 AND FRIDAY 10/24
If you are planning on participating, please try to make one (or both) of these practices. Come even if you did the dance last year. These will be your last chances to run the entire 6 minute version of the dance both with and without cueing. Don't miss these chances to solidify what you've learned!
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25 -- DO NOT ARRIVE LATE!
On the day of the performance, doors will open at 9AM. You must arrive by 10AM in order to participate. There is paperwork that you must fill out, and we will be having our final run-thrus. The performance happens at 11AM sharp, so if you show up at 11:01, you will have missed it. No one will be allowed in after the countdown starts (about 5 minutes before 11:00). Spectators are okay (but we encourage them to participate instead!).
COSTUMES AND MAKEUP
We encourage you to dress like a zombie! An old suit or dress with a few tears in it makes a great zombie costume! We also encourage makeup, but we must ask that you DO NOT USE THE GOOEY FAKE BLOOD that drips (use red makeup instead). The reason for this is that fake blood stains the wooden floor, and we do not want to damage our wonderful venue!
DONATION FOR CANCER TREATMENT AND RESEARCH
We are encouraging every participant to make a voluntary donation of $10. You can make checks out to City of Hope.

I found you guys through my son last week. He's 11 years old and he wanted to see the thriller video because he was thinking of learning the dance for his talent show next year. I asked if he wanted to participate in the this event but he's not sure.
