Thrive was founded in the freezing cold days of December 2006 by Fredrik after talking with his friend Oscar about starting a band. In search of a drummer the found Nikolai who brought with him his two friends, Christian & Gustav to play the guitars. The band was complete and music started to float in the air.
In October of 2007, Nikolai left the band to focus more on his studies on becoming a pilot and a replacement was found, Simon.
In December of 2007, Simon also left the band due to not having enough time and not showing enough interesting in the band. So the search for a new drummer started but after trying out some different drums Oscar decided to pick up the drum sticks instead and Erik step in on handling the microphone.
At the end of February of 2008, Oscar left the band due to not having enough time for his study, the band wished him the best of luck and started to look for a new drummer.
A replacement was found by the name of Joakim and the band was finally completed.
Now nearly two and a half years later after Thrive first saw daylight the band is looking stronger than ever and ready to get on the road.
