'Throbbin' Rob Vollmar is a musician and graphic novel writer from Norman, Oklahoma. He has participated in a number of bands over the years including Brother Tentacle, Shelly Phelps Band, Reality Check, Buddhist Prodigy, and his solo effort, 'Throbbin' Rob and the Hunch. After spending the last few years writing comic books, Rob is preparing to record a new album with Brother Tentacle to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their first rehearsal.
'Throbbin' Rob plays guitar, bass, keys, and sings as well as having produced several albums. The Bluesman Project material is just TR and an acoustic guitar while the Hunch recordings feature a variety of musicians including Steve Wheeler on bass, James Wyrick on drums, Ernie Tullus keyboards, Ryan Jones keyboards, and TR playing just about everything else.
