Originating in Stuart, Florida, near the middle to the end of 2003, they started out with the dismembered members of Life Today (James and Brad), who wanted to jam something new and so they got their friend Kris, who is the lead singer of another local band called Threeface. After jamming like this for a while, the thought that they could add something to their sound. So Kris recruited his friend Jack to play keyboards. He wanted to play with other people, not just with himself. They joined together to bring Stuart the best-kept secret in town, mAn_sUit. After playing a couple of shows, and creating a great group of songs, they decided to take a break during the summer. During this break James, the original bass player, decided that he wanted to play the six string now. So now the hunt was on to bring another member into the band. Then came Brian (who plays Bass in Life Today). He was asked to join and things just got started from there. They got right away and started writing new material that makes James neighbors raise their beers to! At this time, they decided it was time to create a new name. After much, and do I mean much deliberation (there was about 50+ names ranging from Meat Rocket, to ones that could never be posted here) they chose the grand name of Through Being Civil. After a good string of shows with its members, some of the members decided to do other ventures with Jack and Kris pushing on with the Through Being Civil name. Brad, James, and Brian can currently be found jamming again as Life Today, continuing to rock there Surf-Punk songs across the bi-county area. If you get a chance check them out. Currently you can check Through Being Civil out doing local acoustic shows while they are recruiting new members to soon take over the world again. -History Of The Band By: Jack
