About me:
I am a 2005 grad from Michigan Tech (yeah it took me a long time to graduate...do the math). In case you are a Tech grad as well I was known simply as "Cliff" in school so if you are confused... I've spent about a year in limbo working as a substitute teacher and I had a 5 month stint teaching Adult Education for MCC Schools. I have two years under my belt at a Fulltime position teaching High School Math and Social Studies at Decatur High School. Decatur is about 30 miles SouthWest of Kalamazoo. So far so good. I will probably work there for 3 more years (knock on wood) and then look for a job a little closer to home.
In addition to my career, I am in a band with my brother Ryan, Fritz and Wayne. The band is called Through the Mist. I play drums and take care of most of the booking and management. We play Melodic Death Metal and sound similar to bands such as Dark Tranquillity, Amon Amarth, Opeth, In Flames and others (most from Sweden or other European Countries). We have a blast playing live, and have played in several sweet venues all over the state. Hopefully soon we'll have some better recordings made so people can hear how much we rock! I love music...mostly metal but I will delve into rock, jazz and classical on occasion (I've yet to hear a pop, hip-hop, country or rap song that doesn't suck big donkey balls). I have NO patience for music with no energy, or cookie cutter shit that's on the radio. I also love movies, expecially those of the Horror persuasion. Anything that has Zombies in it kicks ass, expecially the original George Romero "Dead" trilogy. Also, scifi rules, specifically the new BattleStar Galactica...probably the best television show ever. Ask my brother "Death Metal Jesus" about it if you want more info.
