In the Ides of 2001 begins to get form Through the Valley, which covet to portrey in they songs the walk Through the Valley of The Shadow of Death, which is life in this land, full of traps and challenges, pain and suffering. In the mix of the fury and brutality of Death Doom (Paramaecium, Anathema, Antestor) with the large melancholic and reflexive meaning of Funeral Doom (Funeral, Skepticism, Until Death Overtakes Me) the band wants to express the fellings of a walker in this long jorney to the eternal rest.
After a interval the band begins compose the songs to the they first record, that will be a promo released in May/2003 . The promo will be the foretoken to the official independent EP Via Crucis Part I. This record traces a parallel between the walk of Jesus to the calvary and our jorney, with our own cross, to reach the eternal rest.

There is a superfluity of Christian black/death/thrash metal bands. And most of them are dire. There seems to be quite a number of death/doom bands too. Yet no Christians seem willing to plunge into the supreme genre of funeral doom. And I know of absolutly no drone doom bands who are of the Faith.
Thank God for Virgin Black. You may be the forerunners (of festinators lol) of something big. I mean the books of Jeremiah and Lamentations are pretty much the funeral doom of the bible :)
Don't give up. You know before I heard your CD I was expecting to hear dire music and pisspoor "Jesus is my boyfriend" lyrics. You really did prove me wrong. Keep the doom going :)
I will be praying that God will provide others to take their place. Please don't ever give up though. It's fucking great to know there are actually others of the Faith out there who actually love funeral doom.
