Since mid 2004 the Throwdown crew have been working alongside The Complete Works Ltd.(an East London based educational charity) to offer a wide range of workshops including breakdancing, popping, freestyle dance, MC/Rap, DJing, and street art/graffiti to young people of all abilities.
Workshop residencies in and around London and the South East have included:
• Care homes
• Primary and Secondary schools
• Young offender’s schemes
• Colleges
• Youth conferences
• Community fairs/events
• Social worker placements
The Throwdown team work closely alongside The Complete Works (registered charity number 1081200) to specialize in working with young people in care and those with behavioral difficulties, emotional issues, and educational exclusion problems. Every workshop tutor is fully police checked and a qualified professional.

Music
MC Mr.E (Charlie Morley), the THROWDOWN host, has recently MC'd breakbeat gigs with DJ Ils at FABRIC(London) with DJ Deekline in Spain and Finland, as well as being the frontman of a new school blues,funk band; and has performed numerous hip hop PA's around London. Donna Dee, the other main THROWDOWN organiser has had a massivley varied music career, too much to write here so go and check out donnadee on the myspace page of her name!
Other team members of the Throwdown crew have recently performed on behalf of Eastpak Throwdown at events in Spain, Finland, Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, USA (San Francisco, New York) Austria, and France.

• “Best of Throwdown 2004/2005” DVD- featuring all the highlights of the last 2 years events and battles. Release date set for January 2006.

Books
I cant talk for the rest of the Throwdown crew but these are some of my personal favorites..........TIBETAN BOOK OF LIVING AND DYING- written by my root teacher and refuge master Sogyal Rinpoche. This was the book that got me onto the path and its a great introduction to Tibetan Buddhism.
ITS UP TO YOU- by Dzigar Khongtrol Rinpoche. This is a short, concise, life changing book. Its like a manual for life. I really recomend it:)
THE ALCHEMIST- yeah yeah i know everyone loves it, but thats for a very good reason, coz its amazing! THE FIVE PEOPLE YOU MEET IN HEAVEN- this book will confirm your love of life, or make you fall in love with life if you havn't already: one of the best novels i have ever read.

"Eastpak Throwdown" has become known as one of the most exciting nights out in London since its birth in 2004. Throwdown is a night of two halves; the first half being the incredible breakin’, popping, locking, house dance, tapdance, graffiti, DJ, MC, beatbox, and even poledance competitions for cash and clothing prizes; and the second half being DJ sets and live PA’s from some of the finest acts on the hip hop scene including artists such as The Streets, Jehst, Mr. Thing, Phi Life Cypher, Beardyman (UK beatbox champ) Mixologists (World DMC champs), MK, Skinnyman, and The Cuban Brothers.
Eastpak Throwdown is unlike anything you have ever seen before, offering a complete blend of every aspect of the hip hop/ b-boy scene and featuring appearances from some of the worlds best dancers from places such as Japan, France, and America who all make there way to Plan B in Brixton to throwdown, battle each other, and party till the AM! The night was the brain child of DJ Donna Dee, who along with her creative partner and host of the night, Charlie Morley (MC Mystery), created the night out of a wish to make a hip hop/ breakin’ night which was more about what you are, than what you wear. Throwdown has to be seen to be believed, and until you’ve seen a guy flip a somersault from a one handed handstand, you aint seen nothing!.
Throwdown is an official EASTPAK event (www.eastpak.com) and takes place on the second Thursday of every month at Plan B, Brixton.
Touring.
Eastpak Throwdown has toured extensively around Europe including events in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Greece, Belgium and Holland. All tours are fully funded by EASTPAK
Festivals.
Eastpak Throwdown also run large scale events at festivals such as Rip Curl Boardmasters, NASS Festival, Beachbuggin’ and Snowbombing offering workshops during the day, battles in the evening, and a big party set once the sun sets!
Private events/press nights.
Eastpak Throwdown has run several private events and press nights for clients such as the inventor of the term “hip hop” Africa Bambaataa and the world renowned hip hop photographer Martha Cooper.
