-ELYSIUM-91 to 98-
ELYSIUM,the Band, was formed in late 1991.The name comes from Greek mythology meaning
'where the gods go to die-paradise or heaven'. ELYSIUM was an original band performing a
progressive and melodic fusion of funk and speed metal. Always incorporating other
styles, maintaining our originality and pushing our musical abilities.
ELYSIUM band members comprise: Chris Roe-Vocals,Daniel Lambert-Guitar, Remy Konash-Bass
and Fox Shannon-Drums. (former guitarist).
92-ELYSIUM won first place [under 18's] and best guitarist over all Sam Champion at the
Gosnells Rock Festival.
95-ELYSIUM returnd to win first place[over18's],best musician[Remy/Bass] and the song writer
award for 'Create,Destroy,Suddate'.
96-ELYSIUM released a CD 'MIND SCAPE' through local Independent label'EMBRYO RECORDS' and
received local air play on RTR and 100 FM Radio.
97-ELYSIUM recorded at ABC Perth for 'The Australian Music Show' on JJJ Radio. And also
featured on a Compelation CD of local WA bands,called 'TWISTED EXPORTS' which went to
a music industry forum/function in L.A (U.S.A).
94-to98 ELYSIUM performed in many competitions and at hundreds of venues,from Lancelin to
Bunbury and across Perth. Also performed with other successful bands such as:N.I.L (Non-
Intentional Lifeform),Turnstyle, GreenRoom, Motherfunk(Carus), Infected,Story
Time,Freud's Pillow (now Eskimo Joe),Atmosfear and Nebula,to name a few.
ELYSIUM also appeared in numerous magazines and newspaper articles from 'The West
Australian' and 'Sunday Times' to 'Xpress magazine' and 'HM magazine-Hot Metal'.
-CENTAUR-
2000-I joined Centaur as a Temp-Drummer.We Recorded and released the EP'Addicted to Hate'
and played a few gigs.
-WITS END-
2005-Wits End,In which I originaly joined as a Drummer but now play leed guitar in, was formed in
04.
Matt Huxtable, on guitar,is formally of 'S.D.I' and Lt.Dan Burke, on bass, formally of
'GreenRoom'.
So far we have recorded three demos (which I have mixed and mostly recorded my
self),played a few shows and are currently recording a fourth demo. However I must
stress........ this is only the beginning.
-THROWING SHAPES-
Throwing Shapes came about because I had so much music built up that either did not fit the
theme of the band at the time or simply was not practical to perform with a traditional band
line up. I am inspired to create a balance between electronic and acoustic instruments that
pushes musical boundaries in both melodic and instrumental composition.

A colourful, artistic display of electronic and acoustic instruments. Genuine and progressive. Electronic music by musician.
'Throwing shapes' is a fusion of styles. Heavy shredding synth lines and intelligent melodic grooves. It has been described as "The perfect sound track for a twisted trip into your own subconscious" and "Murder in space".
The creator of 'Throwing shapes' is Fox S.
Direction: Inspired to creat a balance between electronic and acoustic instruments that pushes musical boundaries in both melodic an instrumental composition.
Interested in the extrems of all musical directions. so anything heavy, most things metal
but also Jazz, Funk and of coarse anything electronic.
Influences: Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa, Aphex Twin, The Prodigy, N.I.N,anything by Mike Patton,
Soulfly, Miles Davis, Jamiroqui, David Bowie, And many more to numerous to mention.
Back ground info: Currently working on to projects. 'Throwing Shapes' and a heavy funk, fusion band called 'Wits End'. Which is Presently finishing up
presintation package and demos. And its fast becoming a sleeping giant.
In many bands but from 92 t0 98 wrote guitar and played drums in a band called 'Elysium'. Played hundreds of gigs all over perth and won several band competitions. In 96
released C.D 'Mind Scape' (Embreo Records) and performed on j.j.j's 'Australian music show'.
