The northeastern Missouribased "Power Rock" quartetknown as "Thru the Ashes" was formed in January 2008. With the first rehearsal being held in the beautiful wooded area of Cuivre River State Park in Troy, Mo. The band focused on incorporatinga huge arryof styles and dynamics into their original compositions. The band's members are heavily influenced by many different
genres of music and it is felt that the versatility and diversity in musical taste to it possesses is a huge strengh. Pride is taken in the fact that all members
bring forth creative thoughts and ideasin the songwriting process so that not only is the song is a stronger composition as a whole but each memberof the band feels that he is a part owner of that song. With that being said, it's easy to say that this band has definitely learned the true meaning of "Teamwork"
The many accomplishments the band has amassed in it's first year of existencehas hinged largely on these attributes. The members that have made the first year of this project a success in many ways include:
Brian Yelton;(lead vocals, rhythm guitar) Ronnie Stoops;(lead guitar,backing vocals);Rob Trainor(bass guitar,backing vocals); Charlie Turner;(percussion,
backing vocals). With over 65 years of collective experience in the music profession the members were fully aware of the many areas in the buisness not directly related to the music itself. This allowed the band to exspand at a brisk pace and amass a very dedicated fan base through local shows and via the internet. Various websites hosted by the band have spread the music internationally. Myspace.com and garageband have been exceptionally instrumental in the band's advertisement. For more information on the bands show dates, the newest songs and various awards visit:

Aside from the many shows across the Northeastern part of Missouri, the greater St.louis area, and Western Illions; Thru the Ashes has hosted many charitable events in an attempt to give back to the community. The band's largest charitable accomplishment of the year was an event in Hannibal, Mo.
called Sandbagger's Ball 2008. This event wqas spearheaded by Thru the Ashes. This event held on Saturday,July 26th was a show of 8 rock bands, all
of whom donated their time and energy in order to raise money to benefit flood victims of the 2008 flood. All the proceeds from the event went to the American Red Cross relief fund. The local Jaycees have agreed to sponcer and hold the event annually beginning in the summer of 2009. For more information on Sandbagger's Ball visit: www.myspace.com/sandbaggersball .
Songs that the band have written and recorded as rough demo tracks include: Inside, Scandaluos, Scream It Out, Beneath You, Black Past,
Sunny Day, Suddenly, Dizzy, Evil Seeds, Let It Rain, OK, Sometimes, Thru the Ashes, Gods Eye View, and Hold On. The band has discussed and has high hopes that it can get into the studio with many of these songs in the near future. It is a top priority to release a debut album to their many fabulous
and dedicated friends and fans. With the short time that this band has had to learn and grow along side one another, it is with great confidence that i say there will be many more years of great entertainment to come. Only time will tell what goals this band will accomplish on it's journey through the "Rock
World" . However, one fact the will remain to stay true is that Thru the Ashes and it's fans will continue rockin' the doors off of every venue we play.....
