   About Thud and Blunder
THUD & BLUNDER have been playing regularly around East Anglia for a fair few years now and have been fortunate enough to play at the Colchester, Chelmsford and Clacton Beer Festivals along with numerous gigs in Pubs (Too many to mention here). We're not very good at blowing our own trumpet (In fact we don't own one although Keith can play a mean harmonica) but we've cobbled together something, which we hope will tell you a bit about us and what we dooby dooby doo! THUD & BLUNDER play a variety of songs and tunes including Sally Macclannan - Istanbul - The Model - Blue Moon - Starman - Sick Bed Of Cuchulin - I'm A Believer Jeepster - The Letter - The Road To Lisdoonvarna - Come Up And See Me - The Maid Behind The Bar / The Star Of Munster - Apeman - Delilah - Ring Of Fire - Ghost Riders In The Sky - Candyman The Wind Cries Mary - Painting the Clouds With Sunshine - Is You Is Or Is You Ain't My Baby - All Shook Up - Sunarise - Waterloo Sunset - My Girl - It's Not Unusual - Midnight In Moscow / Black Eyes - Urban Spaceman - Summer In The City - Cossack Dance / Go Pak - Dear Prudence - Hunting Tigers Out In India - The Hippopotamus Song - The Can Can - Gravel Walk - Garry Owen / Billy The Barber / The Irish Washerwoman - Sunny Afternoon - Step It Out Mary - Dingle Regatta / Bonapartes Retreat - Frieze Britches - Ever Fallen In Love - Underneath The Mango Tree / Mango Walk Runaway - The Stripper - Vicious - Horace The Geek - My Girl - etc. THUD & BLUNDER play lots of different styles of music including Country and Western - 70's - Irish Folk - Pop - 30's - Glam Rock - Progressive - 60's - Punk Rock - 20's Eastern European - 80’s - Humorous - 50's - Russian Folk - etc. THUD & BLUNDER use the following acoustic instruments Mandola - Acoustic Guitars - Mandolins - 5 String Banjo - Harmonicas - Bass Drum. THUD & BLUNDER play cover versions in their own wacky and zany style of songs by artists such as The Kinks - Kraftwerk - The Pogues - The Monkees - T.Rex - Flanders And Swann - Mamas And The Papas - Tom Jones - The Bonzo Dog Band - Steve Harley - Johnny Cash - Madness - David Bowie-The Beatles - Louie Jordan - Rolf Harris - Elvis Presley - The Box Tops - The Rolling Stones -Lou Reed - Abba - Jimi Hendrix - The Buzzcocks - etc. In fact we're not even sure who originally performed some of the songs and tunes we play but they're all pretty popular.

I remember the last time Thud & Blunder played in New York. It was a blistering late summer day, we camped out at the venue for two days to get tickets, fending off the scalpers who offered us $200 for our place in line.

The night of the show was anarchy and pandemonium, strained police lines barely able to hold back the rabid fans. Suddenly, the doors opened, and we were swept away.

Strong men cried, beautiful women grew faint, and hardened cynics broke into wild applause as the duo took the stage.

It would be redundant of me to continue. The best music journalists in the world have all genuflected in unison. The event is legendary, indescribable. We had ice cream after.

Dear 'Spacefriends,

If you're not all sick to death of my shameless regression into post-adolescent angst and trashpop jangle, you may have a slight interest in the two new songs I've just uppered to my page. As always, your comments gracefully accepted. Thank you for your indulgence.

So what's all this I hear about the Thud & Blunder world tour (supported by some band called Kip something-or-other), international smash hit album, and somebody dating a pop diva? Will success spoil T&B? Will there be veggie burgers? Can I get on the guest list?
