    Thunder Bay has a strong 25-year history as being one of the Greater Cincinnati areas best party bands. Having been the house band at the Wayside Inn many years ago, to the Golden Key and points in between, the five-member band has settled into playing area social clubs such in the Tri-State area. .. .. Having roots in rhythm & blues, the band has transformed into a versatile musical group capable of performing cover music from country artist George Jones to Rocker John Cougar to the Disco era music of the Bee Gees. With the entire band members being from the “Baby-Boomer” era, your party or event is sure to be a success with music to please all ears. .. .. Thunder Bay is lead by founder, Lead vocalist and guitarist Mike Gabbard. Well known in the Cincinnati area for his musical abilities for over 40 years, Mike has performed with many local bands and was brought up in the tradition of family vocal harmony and music. Mike is also an accomplished studio musician. .. .. Guitarist Dave Thomas, a resident of Hamilton, Ohio provides the expressive lead guitar breaks heard on the bands recordings. Playing his prized Les Paul Custom guitar, Dave is an accomplished rock guitarist and transforms into a subtle, finesse player for ballads. Dave has performed with several Hamilton area bands prior to joining Thunder Bay approximately 20 years ago. .. .. Bill Eckhardt, keyboards, fills out the rhythm section. An original Thunder Bay member, Bill is an accomplished musician having graduated from Miami University with a music degree. Bill has performed as a soloist at many area weddings and is well recognized among his peers as a classical pianist. .. .. Bassist Randy Colwell lays down the bottom end of the rhythm section. Randy has over 35 years of performance experience; having performed in is own band. Southern Rain prior to joining Thunderbay in 1988. .. .. Rick Fox completes the rhythm sections on drums. Rick performed with his own band Showdown for 12 years prior to joining Thunder Bay. Prior to that, Rick has performed in local jazz trios, ethnic bands and local rock bands.
