Sounds Like
"Everyone is trying to be garage in Seattle, but Thunderbird Motel is actually doing it. It's pure predigital unadulterated rock, and I can't help but love it."
Josh Lovseth - Sound on the Sound
"...experimenting with bluesy, Black Keys-inspired guitar solos, and an edgier, lo-fi sound that leans more toward Sonics-era garage rock"
Katie Sauro - the Wig Fits All Heads
"Oh, if the walls of the Thunderbird Motel on Aurora Avenue could talk. Think of the incredible stories of hookers and cocaine it could tell, the tales of unmatched bravado and human frailty. It would be sacrilege then if a band decided to use the name of Seattle's landmark adultery shanty for anything other than pure, unadulterated rock and roll. Luckily, the band Thunderbird Motel are everything you could hope from a musical incarnation of such a gritty, damnable place. They play straight-up, no-bullshit rock and roll with just the right amount of blues—the perfect soundtrack to the best night of your life, before you wake up and realize you've just ruined everything."
JEFF KIRBY - The Stranger

I think that photo was on the paper's online edition, yeah. :-) We made the paper every other day that weekend, so it was okay. hahaha. Media whores, the bunch of us!
hahahah... well i sent it to brian too, and i would have texted you as well but you're not in my buddy list online... but you can tell them both not to worry, i dont expect them to be a part of the kids life. i'll find a way to support two kids and myself on a teacher's salary.
Tour did y'all good - something fierce too! You guys sounded amazing and tight last night, even if they let you play a grand total of two minutes... As always, we can't wait for our next Thunderbird Motel show.
I think I can speak on behalf of Seattle & say we're glad you're back, boys. Of course, Portland loved you, too - almost as much as I do. So glad you pushed back the show for me. Hopelessly devoted to you. xo
