THUNDERDOG consists of Michael Schooley and a drummer.

Kyle Matsamura - Drums once at a battle of the bands in 2004
Moe Sanchez - Drums (at live shows 2007-present)

*Ideally, Thunderdog would consist of me (Michael Schooley) and whoever else happens to be playing with me at any given time, no matter how many people that may be. It would be sweet to be a versatile band who can play a show with just two of us, as we have done so far, or with four or seven people, all playing random instruments. the songs would basically be the same, but they would have a different sound, depending on the instruments that are playing them at any given show. I encourage you to make up non-distracting parts to our songs on any instrument that you play and are somewhat proficient at, then contact us, and you'll practice with us to see what we can end up with.
Influences
Everything that we experience probably influences our music in some way or another.
Specific bands though? The Vandals, Pennywise, They Might Be Giants, Screeching Weasel, The Queers, etc.
To be brief:
-One day, Michael agreed to play a show without actually having a band. The show was later that same week.
-Michael got together with Sean, and they wrote ten songs in an hour.
-They practiced those songs twice, then played the show.
-The world was never the same again.
Then:
-Thunderdog recorded a demo CD.
-This CD had 18 songs
-They recorded this whole CD (drums, bass, and vocals) in two hours.
-The world was never the same again.
Then:
-Thunderdog went on Hiatus while the two members went to live far away.
-Michael went to live in Mexico, he learned Spanish
-Sean went to live in Canada.
-The world wept.
Then:
-Michael came back, but Sean was still MIA in Canada.
-Michael found Moe.
-They played shows together.
-The world was never the same again.
Currently:
-Michael is recording a new Thunderdog CD, which will contain almost all of the songs from the original demo CD, but higher quality recording.
-Michael has also written new songs, a few of which will also appear on this new CD.
-One can assume that the world will never be the same again.
In the future:
-Thunderdog will replace athletes on Wheaties boxes.
-The gatorade lightning bold will be replaced by the Thunderdog Lightningdog.
-The next president to die in office will be struck by lightning while listening to Thunderdog on his Ipod, thereby solidifying Thunderdog a cozy little place in history. History books will feature a three page full color tribute to Thunderdog's role in this event, and will be sold with a copy of the Thunderdog Greatest Hits CD and a Thunderdog fold-out poster.
-That's what the world will be like. Deal with it.

I was just looking at the Avalon's myspace to check up on the bands of that show, and you were there! Everyone's heads exploding seems like it would be a messy ordeal though, how about everyone's hands? That way there would still be many one-handed people to clean up the gruesome.
