Matt Nathanson meets Dave Matthews meets Jason Mraz meets Brian McKnight
When he was a kid, the Thunder PerfectMind literally had music knocked into him...No seriously, a radio fell onto his head when he was three! Since then, the Thunder PerfectMind has taken on many musical endeavors, which have led him to perform at venues such as the Knitting Factory in LA and Universal Studios, Hollywood as well as Ruby Skye in San Francisco. He has shared the stage with artists like Ian Maxion, Big City Rock, Trevor Penick (from Making the Band), and Nina Sky. More recently, the Thunder PerfectMind has focused on his solo singer-songwriter career, culminating in the release his EP entitled "One and In...". This energetic and soulfully-passionate "urban folk-rock" was released in June of 2007 and is available for sale.
What more can I say. I am just a guy who loves music and I am blessed with the ability to make it with many instruments. Some songs come from my observations and most of my other songs come from my experiences with the other sex. I write songs about love which I am not to sure I know alot about. Just enough to write honest music that tells what I feel. If there was such a thing as wearing your heart on your sleeve then I wear it on my music.
On most of the nights of the week, you can find me at a local open mic just sharing music or messing around. Do I enjoy it? Yes! Would I like to get paid to do it? It doesn't matter to me. I just want to play for a crowd who is open minded enough to sit a while and listen. The rest is in God's hands. If it happens, then it happens.
