So what IS the deal? Well, Thunderpussy is a rockin’ and rollin’ discussion – between us the band and YOU the listener -- about the feminine side of sexuality, and a few other subjects. Thunderpussy songs touch upon subjects that are “taboo”. Ooooooooooooo.
It brings me great joy to write songs that the neo-conservatives would turn off faster than Newt can pop another pill. Sadly, the subject of sex has been turned into such a universal ‘no-no’ that even the liberals may not want to sing along with “I’m A Slut”. That’s OK. Don’t sing. Just listen up.. and then you just might wanna get down!
So, you get the picture… or should I say sound?! I write songs that send positive messages about our bodies -- and giving & getting pleasure -- in a society that discourages the very thought, let alone doing anything about it. Thunderpussy, beginning with our name, evokes that THOUGHT, and I hope lots of other notions. That’s what art is about. And like I said: You can dance to it. That’s what a great club night is about.
