THY FLESH SPEAKS!

The first coming of Thy Flesh was between 2004-2005. The idea was first conceived by drummer Thanos Kal (a.k.a. Athan) who is the only active member from the original line-up. Thy Flesh recorded a thrash metal demo in 2004 "Concept for the Devil" that went surprisingly well and received excellent reviews. Apparently it went too well. "Concept for the Devil" was heard throughout the world through major magazines and the band had 2 label offers. The band split up due to differences on the ways to handle all that perfect feedback that proved to be useless.
Thy Flesh was ended between 2005-2011 until the second coming. The band always possessed a spark of Black Metal aesthetic within the lyrics and themes from the first period due to the beliefs of founder Thanos Kal (a.k.a. Athan). The problem was that back then the music orientation was misguided to produce a more publically likeable result. The second period of the band changes all that. Drumer Thanos Kal (a.k.a. Athan) met with guitarist/vocalist The Cloven Hoof (a.k.a. Nik G.) and crossed opinions on what extreme music should really be like. The new face of Thy Flesh was to meet with Black Metal, in the true sense of the word. The keeping of the band name was not due to lack of inspiration. The name was kept the same INTENTIONALLY.
The name Thy Flesh symbolizes how politically correct ideas can degrade the extreme music scene. Black Metal is perhaps one of the last surviving genres that can recruit people who actually believe and practice what this music dictates despite the humiliation inflicted by certain modern bands. People with beliefs different from the basic substance of Black Metal should leave the extreme scene. The music and lyrics of Thy Flesh are extensions of the personalities and ideologies of its members. We don’t do it for the art or because it makes us feel cool. We do if for something quite different. Few will understand. That's the point. The Cloven Hoof entered the band instantly and Thy Flesh recorded a promo in the summer of 2011, working to release an album by the winter of the same year.
This was never meant to be just music.
