    .. .. .. ..About.. .. I grew up in Copacabana influenced by Brazilian tradicional music and Jazz. In Rio, Samba and Bossa Nova flourished becoming a strong identity for all of us in the city. While a teenager I used to spend a lot of time playing my violão (guitar) and begun studying with ..Helio Delmiro.., who played a big role in defining my sense of style and improvisation. At his house I could meet Baden Powell ..Baden Powell de Aquino.., everyone's favorite guitarist in Brazil and who also deeply influenced me — Keep the guitar out of it's case and crossed over the couch so every time you sit down you pick it up for a play — I've been following his advice every since. Getting together with ..Gabriel Improta.., the composer ..Guinga.. and ..Lula Galvão.., became essential in my development. Dorival Caymmi, Heitor Villa Lobos, Jobim, Pixinguinha and the piano player Keith Jarrett are among my favorite musicians too, and I carry their recordings everywhere I go... ..Violão (Tiago Schardong).. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..Manhã de Carnaval (Luiz Bonfá, Antonio Maria.).. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. About
