    Album Veröffentlichung: 16.04.2010 Die Musiker von Tibetréa spielen „Fantasy-Folk". Neben der Interpretation traditioneller mittelalterlicher und folkloristischer Stücke, die von Pagan Folk bis hin zu traditioneller östlicher Folklore reichen, entstehen auf der Basis mittelalterlicher Melodien und Rhythmen eigene Texte und Stücke. Der weiche Klang der Trompete vermischt sich dabei mit Schalmeien, Drehleier, keltischer Harfe oder Bouzouki, genauso wie mit modernen Instrumenten, wie beispielsweise der Gitarre, während Trommel und Tambourin den mitreißenden Rhythmus vorgeben. Und wenn man seinen Körper andächtig lauschend zum zweistimmigen Gesang von Elisabeth von den Schafen und Mirán, dem Poeten hin und her wiegt, so kann man schon im nächsten Augenblick seine Beine nicht mehr im Zaum halten, wenn mit dem Rhythmus des „Circle Fire Dance" der Funke der Feuermagie auf einen übergesprungen ist. Bepackt mit einem ganzen Berg von Instrumenten, von denen sie bravourös auch mehrere gleichzeitig zu spielen vermögen, ziehen die Spielleute von Tibetréa durch die Landen und erfreuen das Volk mit ihrem unverwechselbaren Klang. Besides the interpretation of traditional, medieval pieces, reaching from 'pagan folk' to traditional Eastern Folk, new pieces are created on the basis of medieval melodies and rhythms. The soothing sound of the trumpet melts with the sound of shawms, hurdy gurdy, celtic harp or bouzouki, even with modern instruments, e.g. the guitar, meanwhile drums and tambourine give the stomping beat. And when you rock your body gently to the lovely sound of the two voices of 'Elizabeth of the sheeps' and 'Mirán, the poet', the next moment you will jump, when the rhythm of the 'Circle Fire Dance' is emblazoning your heart, with the magic of the fire.      Am 22. Mai präsentiere ich zusammen mit dem Ensemble RicciCapricci das neue Programm "Perla mya cara" im Puchheimer Kulturcentrum bei München mit italienischer und spanischer Musik aus Mittelalter und Renaissance. Zarte, berührende Melodien und Stücke voller Virtuosität und südländischer Lebensfreude erwarten Euch. Ich freue mich sehr darauf, Euch dort zu sehen!

    Hi,i am just commenting to let you know that i have decided to stop playing under the name Boy Prophet and am now playing under my real name Sam Doyle. I am doing this as i feel that my music is more about me and i should do away with smoke and mirrors. I have recorded a new record which is a more stripped back feel concentrating on the songwriting,three songs from it are on my myspace page and you can listen to the whole thing and download it on samdoyle.bandcamp i won't trouble you with links,so i just figured i would let you know all this,i always reply to the oddest of questions and comments so do get in touch.
