Tidal Wave Mr Kyps Review: When the evening begins with the blood-stirring pomp and splendour of the Conan the Barbarian theme, and the adrenaline rush goes off the clock; it leads you into wondering: are the band going to be like a selfish lover and climax too soon, or are they going to take us through to mutual satisfaction? Queen's 'We Will Rock You' followed, then UFO's 'Doctor, Doctor;' hmm, yes. And then Guns 'n' Roses 'Sweet Child O' Mine' and Lynyrd Skynyrd's 'Sweet Home Alabama,' which no one with blood in their veins can stand still to. Indeed, Michael Jackson's 'Beat It' was a winner, too, and it's not easy emulating the classic Eddie van Halen solo. Tidal Wave more than lived up to their initial promise and expectations, and despite being a covers band, they left us wanting for more. Book 'em, Danno! But next time as headliners. Review by: Alan Burridge. Contact tidalwave: paul@amtek-group.co.uk .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ...... ..Myspace Backgrounds.... Tidal Wave are a five piece rock covers band from the Bournemouth & Poole area. Bursting onto the local scene in early 2009 the band has gone from strength to strength. Every gig has been packed out with a rapidly increasing loyal fan base. The band includes a truly talented line-up that puts on a thoroughly engaging and energetic show - not to be missed! With a set packed full of classic rock tunes and modern day hits, an evening with Tidal Wave is an unforgettable event! … Just make sure you remember to bring your air guitar! .. .. ...... .. .. .. .. .. .. ..
