Let me tell you a little bit about myself…

ME - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
I am a fairy sized 16-year-old girl from a tiny island called Manhattan, which I absolutely love! People find me unique and quirky in many ways. But to me, I’m just being me.

I am sometimes mistaken for being shy initially. In reality, I just choose to take it all in and access the situation. Remember sometimes silence is golden… lol. Of course I have a strong alter ego when I perform, which makes me a rather complex type of girl. I strongly feel that I'm here to make a difference. I have no worries. I believe my life is already planned out for me. I would consider myself a strong judge of character, but I don't judge. I believe there are good people out there and I gravitate towards them. As I enter a room, I feel more comfortable floating from group to group, never wanting anyone to feel left out. Good karma is everything to me. Looking at Zen cards is a favorite pastime of mine and my friends often laugh at me because of it! I have some of the same friends I've had since I was practically born and they are very important to me. I also like meeting new people.

I hear music in my head at all times and I never find it annoying. Sometimes I just live in my own little musical world… I hum and tap my feet often and its normal to me. One of my favorite things to do is read. Of course I love Twilight, but i also love classics like The Scarlet Letter. Writing songs is something I do almost everyday. I'm obsessed with taking my feelings and experiences and putting them into a song.

I love to laugh and I see humor as good therapy. Getting upset over little things is not in my world. This is a precious gift I persevere. Don’t sweat the small stuff! Why waste your time being upset when you could just forget about it and move on? I would like to call myself fashionably late... My team tells me in advance to get to places 15 minutes early, so it all works out. Speaking of work, I live to work my craft. I am not a lazy person to say the least. I write, sing, practice, perform, exercise, and learn. I have serious passion for it all. I love life. I do feel like I've been here before, in a sense where I really connect with things from the past... like my admiration for Audrey Hepburn and old movies (my favorite being Breakfast At Tiffany's). Being different among my peers is something that never bothered me. And when I say peers... I mean the Queen Bee's in the world. The one's that want to make you feel uncomfortable. I am comfortable with myself. I just smile at them. :)


MY MUSIC - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
There's a good side and a bad side to starting a music career at such an early age. I was 9 when I started singing professionally. I also did many commercials when I was little. Soon, I was cast at the Paper Mill Theater, where I played Marta in the "Sound of Music", a play I will never forget. I became friends with Nick Jonas during this play and we shared the same passion for singing. I started out singing Christmas songs... the most well known being "Sure Don't Feel Like Christmas”. It is about the feelings of a young girl missing her father during the holidays because he is overseas at war. The good side of starting so young was that it got my name out there, but the flip side is that people watched me in a fish bowl while I grew up musically. So from the age of 9 to now at 16, I've had a interesting journey with my love of music. I hope the journey never ends. I love music and love evolving as a person and as an artist. Some artist that inspire me are Pat Benatar, Pink, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Taylor and Madonna! I did get to see Pat Benatar live recently. She has to remember me because I was the girl who never sat down in the front row! Lately, I really love the techno/rock sound. Everyday I strive for perfection and individuality in myself. It's fun to hear and breathe new music! I also have fun with my band. They are really great guys and good friends. I want to be the artist who sneaks up behind at a slow and steady pace, but in the end will accomplish her dreams!

The fans that have watched me from the start hold a special place in my heart. I welcome the new fans to come take this ride with me!


MY FAMILY - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
I’m lucky to have a place in the Giardina family. I am the eldest of three girls, which is a constant battle of hearing them laugh or bicker. What I do know now is that having two sisters is having two girls that will be there for you forever, with unconditional love. My mom and dad are truly special people who teach by example and are still in love. <3 They are always helping someone in need and that’s where I get the good karma card. My dog, Spencer, is the love of my life.


Relationships/BOYS - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The opposite sex (boys in this case) are very hard to figure out for me, which in turn makes for great writing. lol. I like guys who have manners and boyish charm goes a long way. I love a guy with a great smile and he has to make me laugh. I've taken the dating process very slow and I feel no need to rush. The best is yet to come. Edward and Jacob where are you??? My life is a great novel and each chapter is new and exciting. I enjoy watching it unfold.


TECHNOLOGY - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
I love my Mac... mostly because of music (Garageband & iTunes), but also to keep in touch with the world. I also love making my own movies on my computer. I’m always putting together tons of clips from tour and making videos to put on YouTube. It’s a great way to document my life so I’ll never forget any of my favorite memories. My favorite thing on the internet right now is Twitter. I secretly wish I invented it. It's such a great way for me to talk directly to my fans!


TRAVEL and FREE THE CHILDREN - - - - - - - - - - - -
I have been lucky enough to travel all over the world (29 different countries!!) because of my dad’s work. I love to travel. Traveling allowed me to widen my thoughts and see different surroundings. Now I'm lucky enough to travel all over the US to perform... hopefully soon, the world!

Recently, I have become the ambassador for "Free The Children" and in 2010, I will be going to Kenya with my family. I have dreamed about this opportunity and it is one of my greatest personal achievements. I hope to make a difference and help children.

Living out of a suitcase is something I am used to, but being home is something I cherish.
