Driving my car through the countryside in the dark. Gives me a false sense of security and a chance to scare rabbits.
Music
INSPIRATION: Richie Hayward (drummer with Little Feat) My older Brother John came home with all the latest stuff in the 60’s. To hear Sgt Pepper at the time of release is really the only way to understand it. I used to steal it from my brothers cupboard and play it in constant rotation.
The Who ‘I Can See For Miles’ blew my head off!
Movies
2001, A Space Oddesey. Classic and timeless
A Matter of Life and Death. David Niven at his best in this 1950’s surreal romantic fantasy
Groundhog Day. Just bloody good cosmic fun
Television
The Avengers, but only with Dianna Rigg as Emma Peel. I used to be allowed to stay up as a kid on a Wednesday night to watch it. Fantastic ground breaking 60’s fantasy drama, and always fun.
Books
'One Hundred Years Of Solitude' by Marquez, and 'The Master and Margarita' by Bulgakov . .both breathtaking romantic fantasy with plenty of dark humour.
