About TIGER FLOWERS(TUES AT UNION POOL w/ WETNURSE!!!! )
In 2007, the break up of NYC based band JOHNNY CAGE IS A FAKE lead to what is now TIGER FLOWERS. After playing many shows with MY BITTER END, we became very close with the vocalist and asked him to front our new project after his departure from MBE. The band is named after the first African American boxer to become a middle weight champion in 1926. Since 2007, we have grown as a band and as a family. We are like brothers and the bond we share as a band is clearly apparent when we perform. We enjoy playing shows with bands that are fun, awesome, and respectful to other bands. We enjoy meeting new people, playing new venues, and eating at waffle house. We don't enjoy playing with bands with big egos and attitudes. If you play a show and leave right afterward with all your friends rather than sticking around to support the other bands than piss off. If your band takes 25 minutes to set up and follows that with a 15 song set list and 25 minutes to break down... C'mon really? Your not the only band on the bill. We wanna have fun and play with like minded people who are not trying to act like rock stars. Leave the egos at home. Also, if your not willing to help us than don't ask us to help you. Support your scene and support your fellow bands.

my bass player and i are booking at this spot in brooklyn. we're going to set something up for late december or january. if you guys can get us on one of your shows before then, that would be cool too. holla!
