There is a forest up in the arctic circle called Tigerforest.
It produces more than half of the oxygen produced from trees on the planet.
The forest has a very short growing cycle, just one month, and in that time it produces all of that oxygen.
I was really moved by the idea that there is a forest that
seems so far away, but is having a big positive affect on the planet.
Certainly music can also have such abilities in different ways.
Music means much more to me than playing white and black keys together in some harmonious or disharmonious
accordance and order. It's more than making impressive eclectic soundscapes or sequences with some content.
Music is my life. Music is my playground of emotions and at each time the mirror of my innermost being.
The very first time I came into contact with a keyboard was already at the age of 12 when I began to take keyboard lessons.
Unfortunately it took more than further 3 years till I finally came into contact with my first synthesizer.
That was in late 1995. I was already very familiar with the world of electronic music for years.
After nearly two years of pure "experiments" and technically not well equiped I started to compose my own music and today with a look over my shoulders,
I see that was definitly the right decision for me.
Tigerforest's first CD "The Sound of Life" was released in 2006 on CDBaby and is seeing a re-release in 2008 through Amadea Records.
The brandnew CD "Daybreak" will also be released through Amadea Records later this year.
The Sound of Life is now available on CDBaby, all digital distributors and my great label Amadea Records. Please click on the cover below and buy it...

Dear Gunnar, Yes, it's been a while indeed! I'm glad to hear that you and Amey are doing great, and rehearsing for performances. Your shows will be quite a treat, I wish I could be there to see you play! Things are happening pretty fast here in NZ, I am already 3 months in school studying graphic design and web development. I am also taking guitar lessons in preparation for my new acoustic material, but I probably won't be able to work on music until school lets out this coming May. I would love to work together again one of these days :-) I wish you and Amey all the very best! Light & Love, Inga
If you have time listen to my new cooperation-track with Jutta Roos THE TEARS OF BROCELIANDE
(An old Bretonian myth: Once evil Fairies distributed the magic student. This made Brocéliande so sad, that her tears were digging deep cracks into the cliffs of the rocky coast. This is the legendary genesis, the creation of the Gulf of Morbihan!)
