The musical world of Gunnar Spardel: Tigerforest

There is a forest up in the arctic circle called Tigerforest. It produces more than half of the oxygen produced from trees on the planet. The forest has a very short growing cycle, just one month, and in that time it produces all of that oxygen. I was really moved by the idea that there is a forest that seems so far away, but is having a big positive affect on the planet.
Certainly music can also have such abilities in different ways. Music means much more to me than playing white and black keys together in some harmonious or disharmonious accordance and order. It's more than making impressive eclectic soundscapes or sequences with some content. Music is my life. Music is my playground of emotions and at each time the mirror of my innermost being.

The very first time I came into contact with a keyboard was already at the age of 12 when I began to take keyboard lessons. Unfortunately it took more than further 3 years till I finally came into contact with my first synthesizer. That was in late 1995. I was already very familiar with the world of electronic music for years. After nearly two years of pure "experiments" and technically not well equiped I started to compose my own music and today with a look over my shoulders, I see that was definitly the right decision for me.

Tigerforest's first CD "The Sound of Life" was released in 2006 on CDBaby and is seeing a re-release in 2008 through Amadea Records. The brandnew CD "Daybreak" will also be released through Amadea Records later this year.

Amethyste is a real vocal goddess. Her vocal range is just outstanding and she has an incredible pure tone in her voice. Her debut album Ethereal is available through all the important online shops.

Amy Barbera is laying down her wonderful warm voice on the song Peacemaker. I also worked with her on the song I had a dream which can be found on her forthcoming CD.

Inga's spiritual and mystic voice can be heard on the Tigerforest track Riding the Wind. I also worked with her on her debut Album which is available now.

Jennifer Deann Scott has a soulful, deep and beautiful warm tone. She worked with me on the song Longing for the Sun which can be found on the forthcoming TF CD.

Kara Johnstad is a jazz singer with an incredible range and a beautiful atmospheric warm tone. I am working with her on the song Colors of the Summer Sky.

Tiff Lacey is working with me on the song Transparent Days. Tiff has a wonderful range and a beautiful and soulful tone that definitly lifts you up.

I am happy to announce that my second CD "Daybreak" will be released through Amadea Records this summer. More info will follow very soon.

B[y]pass	Oct 10 2008 7:30 PM Bypass 11.10.2008 - Fundbureau - 24 Uhr Wer dieser „Viktor Casanova“ eigentlich ist, weiß bis heute immer noch niemand so genau, aber der gleichnamige Track der Italoboyz ist im letzten Sommer keinem Festival- und Ibizabesucher entgangen. Die Idee, Operngesänge durch Hallwege und Effekte zu ziehen und diese über minimale Beats zu legen war auf jeden Fall gewagt, hat aber in die Plattenkisten von Acts wie Väth und Villalobos heftig eingeschlagen. Doch nicht nur diese fette Produktion hat den Namen der beiden schnell verbreitet, sondern vor allem ihre berüchtigten back-to-back DJ Sets. Durch ihre energiegeladene Arbeit hinter den Decks sind die beiden in ihrer Wahlheimat London mittlerweile ein fester Bestandteil der dortigen Minimalszene und touren vom dortigen Flughafen regelmäßig nach New York, Tokio, Tel-Aviv und Berlin. Ohne Operngesang, aber mit gewohnt deepen Scheiben werden Ronny Pries (Rohformat) und Resident Amir N. (Bypass) die Crowd auf die Italoboyz eingrooven. Im zweiten Floor wird an diesem Abend Jame vom Malaria für die richtige Beschallung sorgen. Also nicht vergessen! Alle erscheinen !!!

I have to wait and get my daughter to do it for me since I do not have a paypal account and never buy on line at E-Bay or any place. Twice have I ever I did on line buying with a card and did not like to do it but was necessary for me to. So hopefully soon I can have them to play anytime and not sitting at a computer.
