Music has been a part of my life as long as I can remember. It is a meeting ground for my inner thoughts and emotions to be able to express myself without the limitation of words. In as much as learning how to play various musical instruments and styles present new challenges, my greatest enjoyment comes from sharing ideas and creativity in a live music environment. My educational background was built on a foundation of classical piano composition which yielded to a strong desire to pursue guitar during the transformational 1970's. Pat Metheny was inspirational in the jazz genre and I still enjoy the music of many of the rock bands and artists that have recorded timelessly since then, such as Yes, Pink Floyd, Neil Young, and a favorite of mine for inspirational music, the Grateful Dead. The latter to me represented a mixture of my jazz, bluegrass, folk and rock interests all-in-one and after seeing Jerry Garcia in concert I was convinced of my next challenge. Playing in Grateful Dead cover bands allowed me to meet this challenge and I was able to share musical ideas and creativity in the most enjoyable setting yet. A busy but enjoyable family life lends a few premium moments to spare for writing original music. I look forward to what life brings each and every day as my ears listen for that tune that describes it so well.
I Love you so much~ IF THERE WERE NO TOMMOROW I would tell you today That you are the one that fills my life Whose smile I cannot wait to see Whose arms I long to have wrapped around me Whose lips I live to kiss Softly, passionately, in every way.
I would want you to know That you make my heart skip a beat You fill my soul with contentment You brighten my dark skies You fill my days and nights With stars, hopes, and cascading dreams.
I would want you to see How beautiful the world looks with your eyes through mine Your eyes light up the sky Your touch paints the Heavens Your kiss creates amazing rainbows Of beauty, sunshine, and life.
I would want you to understand That I have always loved you Before I knew there was you Before our eyes ever met Before I found in you Happiness, completeness, and passion.
If there were no tomorrow I would tell you That you are the greatest gift in my life Whose love I cherish above all else You sustain me with Your laughter, love, and friendship Before there was no knowing I'd tell you I love you infinitely, without boundaries, and beyond time.
Hey all, hope you're joining us tonight as Uncle John's Band brings in the New Year at the legendary Skippers Smokehouse in Tampa. The party starts at 8pm as usual, but will extend past midnight, unlike usual.
Also unlike the usual, we will be covering 3 complete albums-- Workingman's Dead, American Beauty, and at the stroke of midnight, Dark Side of the Moon!
But wait! That's not all... you also get special guest appearances, a champagne breakfast, Tom & Bonnie singing Old Lang Syne, James LaVechia performing the forbidden dance of love! (possibly.)
We hope to see you there. To our out of town friends, and musician friends who may be throwing down their own party tonight, we wish you all a very Happy New Year!
