Tiger Piss 2009
Sounds Like
"They screech and holler, and sing and play. They embrace the ethos of classic punk. They give a damn. They have an odd sense of humor." - T.Ballard Lesemann, Charleston City Paper
"Tiger Piss is prowling the country to promote their debut album...a collection of seven raw, raunchy rock songs. Some are sexual, and some are plain funny. All of them are indeed loveably bizarre." - Madeline Brown, Tiger Weekly, LSU

About Tiger Piss (has tickets for The Break Contest!)
Tiger Piss formed in the winter of 2007 in New Paltz, NY. Drummer Kevin Sharp and guitarist Danny Asis grew fond of Singer/Bassist Lara Hope through her previous band, The Red Hopes. Danny Asis and Rev. Kev approached Lara Hope after hearing of the group's break-up. She quickly accepted their proposal and Tiger Piss was formed.
Tiger Piss is a band of varied influences with a unique combined style of punk and rock n' roll. Their style has been dubbed "Weirdo Rock" and "Sex Punk" by media outlets across the country. The bluesy belting vocal style, bouncy bass lines and robust stage presence of Lara Hope fused with Danny Asis' affinity for technical, metal inspired guitar provides a strong foundation of music. Their elements, meshed with Rev. Kev's ability to turn a beat upside down and provide a slick solid backbone creates a sound they call Tiger Piss.
In February of 2008, they set off on the first of three national tours to promote their debut EP "Ear to the Wall", an eight song collection that spans the musical spectrum from fifties style sing-along songs to full speed punk rock. Embracing the old school DIY attitude of rock bands before them, they played rock clubs, basements, hookah lounges, bowling alleys, and coffee shops across the country. They booked and promoted all of the shows themselves along the East Coast, the South, and the Mid-West, eventually becoming known for their hard working, energetic, booze-swilling, and highly entertaining live shows.
Since forming, Tiger Piss has traveled over 25,000 miles and played over 100 shows in more than 22 states, most of which have been chronicled through blogs to keep their fans close. In February 2009, they released their second EP "Shake it, Don't Fake it" which defines a new distilled sound they call their own. Tiger Piss will be on tour for the majority of 2009 to promote their new album and continue to reconnect with Tiger Piss enthusiasts across the country.
Hey guys..whats up ! hows the life in the cold northeast? I'm in cali just wanted to say hello..and tell ya i miss everything lara's breasts, kevs hair and all of danny.
hey saw you guys at now thats class last night...Good Stuff... thanks for playing and sticking around for our set as well... have fun on the rest of yer tour.
why does shit have to prevent me from seeing you guys whenever you fucking make it here.?? im sorry- i will be calling in tonight though- i have H1N1 or some shit. i hurt all over.
its like a cool podcast-type deal thing where you play a live set and people can log on to talk. then people can call in to say things and they have an 800 # for the newyorkers. he said they were busy the day you are in clevo but i told him you could probably arrange something else seeing as how youre all around ohio and theyre in lorain. so... you play some... and then talk some about the band... and play... and then talk... good times. idk. i cant fucking wait until you guys come.
Second, I'm now living on a farm in Wisconsin (yes, milking goats daily and all that jazz), so when are you gonna next come to the Midwest?
Lastly, what kind of pics do you have from Charleston last spring? I was lamenting not having my camera that night, and one of my more-sober-than-we-were friends said she took a shit-ton of photos with your camera... do they still exist? Can you e-mail them to me?
