ALOHA! Presenting the DEVIL’S JUKEBOX live at the PACKHORSE, (Woodhouse Lane, Leeds, opp. Library pub), THIS FRIDAY, the 12th of DECEMBER.
Supported by TOM ATTAH- a seriously amazing bluesman from the delta basin of South Yorkshire, X-RAY CAT- rockabilly hep cat and seriously all round nice chap, and the man, the legend, the serious seriousness that is SERIOUS SAM BARRETT.
This will be our last gig for at least three months if not longer… But on the bright side it’s also hopefully the launch night for our brand new CD – featuring 13 songs of slippery sin. So saddle up and join us for a night of jezebel jazz, torrid tango and the rowdiest of pre-war blues. Doors 8pm £4 in. Yours, with Sleazonal Greetings, Dr Bordello
Sleazonal Greetings Sinners, The DEVIL’S JUKEBOX has five VERY good reasons why you should be at the PACKHORSE, (Woodhouse Lane, Leeds, opp. Library pub) on FRIDAY 12th DECEMBER.
1) We’re being supported by TOM ATTAH- a seriously great bluesman from the delta basin of South Yorkshire, X-RAY CAT- rockabilly hep cat and seriously all round nice chap, and the man, the legend, the serious seriousness that is SERIOUS SAM BARRETT.
2) The new speakers I bought, for those of you who missed us last time, have turned out to be every bit as crystal clear as I thought they might be.
3) It’s my birthday…
4) It’s probably the last time we’re going to be playing for quite some time as one of our number is heavily pregnant.
5) We may if we get it done in time, and I stress may, be launching our new CD.
So Five Good reasons to drink yourself silly before New Years.

NISENNENMONDAI (Smalltown Supersound / Japan) Nisennenmondai are soon to be one of your most favourite bands. Imagine an insane birthday party with Sun City Girls, Keiji Haino and Mika Miko all invited, things are gonna go volcanic, and thats where Nisennenmondai come in! Of all the noisy girl groups of Kansai, are at once the most intense and hypnotic band to run out of the scene. Touring Japan alongside the likes of Death Sentence: Panda!, OOIOO, Lightning Bolt, Hella, Oshiri Penpenz, and Afrirampo. Their pulsing rhythm section and metallic overtoned guitar sound something like a heathen and tranced-out amalgamation of Boredoms, Neu!, Ruins and Leopard Leg. http://www. myspace. com/nisennenmondai http://www. nisennenmondai. com

Currently Sweden's hottest export, THOSE DANCING DAYS combine "Sweet as apple-pie pop" with a devilishly sassy Northern Soul and it's this unique combination that has the got the whole of the UK falling over itself and for good reason too!
The subtle dynamics in their songwriting of JOHN and JEHN and the balance between chaos and beauty and the mastery of heartbreaking melodies Expect beautifully skewed hymns in the key of Serge Gainsbourg. http://www. myspace. com/johnjehn
Wakefield's THE RESEARCH are makers of fun, but also write songs that are like punches in the stomach that knock the wind out of you but afterwards you agree that you feel much better for it. www. myspace. com/theresearch
