Bio
The Adventures of The Tiger Shadow is the second album from Leeds based alternative hip-hop group Tiger Shadow. It features a blend of intelligent and socially conscious rhymes with multilayered compositions and urban grooves to create something you've never quite heard before. Beautiful string arrangements play alongside swirling synths and bone crunching riffs, underpinned by heavy-duty drum programming and topped off with the humble genius of Komla MC on vocal duties. The album was mastered in New York by Mark Christensen at The Engine Room, and continues their recording collaboration with producer Matt Peel who has worked with Leeds luminaries such as The Kaiser Chiefs and The Pigeon Detectives. It is a departure from the styles of their previous recordings and sees a return to the roots of the band with Komla MC providing the drum beats, lyrics and vocals, while Jim Tycho provides the music, accompanied by special guests here and there. They are currently working with a number of visual artists to create a projected show to accompany the live performance, and they are looking forward to bringing this album and the live show to a wider audience in 2012 -
