"Taking cues from bands like Explosions in the Sky, Appleseed Cast, to bands such as Sigur Ros and Dredg; Tigers In The Backseat from Rockford, IL, has become a refreshing new face in the northern Illinois music scene. Incorporating exotic instruments and musical interludes in between their songs, Tigers In The Backseat has created a new sound that has been long overdue."

"...this four-piece band’s original music immediately reminded me of a live version of early Death Cab for Cutie, mixing minor chord harmonies with a standard 2-guitar, bass and drums setup enhanced by xylophones and other exotic instrumentation. Many instrumental interludes wound between songs, adding complexity and interest to their set. For a band this new on the scene, their sound is mature and satisfying for even the older listeners among the crowd."

Interesting music, and thanks for the friend request. I must admit that the thing about "Man's destiny" kinda creeps me out. I certainly don't want to be part of something called "Man" or to conquer anything. YMMV.
guys- this is serious, so don't take it as a joke...
about a year and a half ago, i was scraping the bottom of the barrell...my dad was making less, again LESS, than $300,000 a year, my weekly allowance went from $400, to $360...i started shooting heroin, and soliciting sex to anyone one that wanted it; man, woman, child, animal, or inanimate object...i had low self esteem and even lower self respect...i would hang out outside bars and when people would throw their cigarettes out, i would pick them up and use those...ive slept in alleys, dumpsters, trash cans, abandoned cars, under bypasses, or even worse- NORMAL homes (under 20,000 square feet)...sometimes i would hustle money from old people just trying to get my next fix...but then i went to church, and at the rockiest of bottoms, i discovered God, and declared evolution a farce...and after i left the church, i heard a version of "black codes"...and it saved my life...thank you gentlemen so much...for making me see that no matter HOW bad my life is, there is someone, or a group of people out there, that have it WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY worse than i ever could...you just project it through music
