About me:

I am now 50 years old a half a century has gone by and I have nothing really to show for it. I have a beautiful woman now and her name is Jacki. She is currently living 3 houses down with her sister. For me though I have to live this relationship one day at a time. Jacki is not well she has a lot of physical medical problems wrong with her. Yes she is on a lot of heavy medications. We are engaged to be married and we haven't set any dates yet. We will talk about it more in March when I have a year in the program of AA. They say no major descissions for the first year. I have a 2 bedroom apartment and I share this with my son. I also have 4 cats and a dog. Their names are Princess Emily who is my dog, Babygirl she is my black and white cat she is the oldest 9 years old. Then their is Magic he is my all black cat, Jerry Jr. and Cali are brother and sister their birthday is July 20 cali and July 21 Jerry Jr. Now Magic I know is one but I don't know when his Birthday is. Princess Emily was born around July 3rd or could be the end of June sometime. She was a rescue puppy and I got her when she was 4 weeks old. My friend Judy brought her here all the way from Hickory NC. My son Jason is back living with me again and I am not a happy camper about it because of his drinking. But I didn't want him on the street with nowhere to go. He is 27 years old. He never gave up on me so I really can not give up on him. Unless your a mother you wouldn't understand. He could do so much better for himself if he quite drinking. But of course denial has it's grubby grips on him because he doesn't see that yet. For myself I have 8 months of sobriety and clean time in. That has been put to the test many of times. But I still hang in there one day at a time. I have been around AA since 1981. But I don't have that much sobriety. I know that this is alot but oh well. This is who I am. I have been having a lot of physical pain myself and haven't been able to clean my home the way I should but hey it's lived in. I have been smoking Hats Off Cigars because they are only 2 bucks a pack. I need to quiet though but it is so hard to do. Winter is coming soon and we just have been lucky not to get it yet. ( Snow that is ). I live in Buffalo and it is known for it being unpredictable. The thing I hate about it is shoveling. My son will have to do it our my landlady will have to hire someone to do it now. I have been starting to decorate for Christmas to try and get out of this funk I have been in for some time. I really miss my sister and my nephews. They are living in Florida now. I use to go to her house for the holidays and now I can't because it costs to much to get to her Plus I am only allowed to stay at her place for 2 nights. It's in their contract at the apartments she is in. My Brother Joe lives in Warren PA and I can't even get there. No money. So it's just Jason and I and my fur babies. Oh and Jacki and her sister. But family that is what the season is all about. So you see why I have been in a funk. Why does everything have to cost so dam much now a days. Oh well at least I have my fur babies.
