The finish line lays ahead, but goal lines still can be crossed: even on the last length of ones journey.
I have a friend Walter, whose goal was to celebrate his 60th birthday on November 11th. In life many goals we set: graduating or retiring, saving or purchasing, beginning or finishing, natural or spiritual goals, living to welcome a new season in time. I have learned that there is a difference between goal lines and the finish line. Many goal lines can be crossed, but there is only ONE finish line. Not all goal lines will be crossed, but continue, press on in faith, for that one finish line.
Dt34:4 Then the Lord said to him, This is the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob when I said, I will give it to your descendants, I have let you see it with your eyes, but you will not cross over in it. Here, a natural (earthly Heb11:13) goal line was not going to be crossed. Moses didn't turn away from God in anger or resentment. Moses didn't quit. He turned towards God with love and faith. Spiritually through Gods grace, a view of his future state was shared before his dying moments. Those of us who die in the faith of Christ, may cross over the finish line, to our promised land. KEEP THE FAITH! Whisper: Never loose your vision, Heaven waits. Heb11:16 YSIC Brown Eagle
Goal Line: Ph3:14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Ph3:12 Mt24:46
Finish Line: 2Tim4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
