Currently my admiration for The Bedroom Philosopher, (aka Justin Heazlewood) is at an all-time high. He's thrown off the chains of the comedy pigeonhole, and is floating in a genre-free wonderland.
About me:
CREDITS: The background photo on this page was taken by the wonderful Linzy cos she's full of self-importance. The page is coded and kept free of spam by Linzy and Shell, who will also answer any queries you have. Lovely ladies.
CONTACTING ME: I love getting comments and messages through this page and I do generally read them all but be sure to check out timminchin.com and angry-feet.com if you do have a question as chances are it's already been answered elsewhere. If you do ask a question I'll do my best to get back to you, but if I don't I'm really sorry! Please forgive me. I can't handle guilt. Sometimes Linzy or Shell will answer questions for me. If you have an important, work-related query, please go here to contact my management. They're very nice. Although come to think of it the Australian one is pretty scary and the American one I'm too intimidated to even ring myself.
OTHER WEBSITES: Here is a link to timminchin.com, where you can find contact info, merchandise, MP3s, pics and all sorts of fun. And if you want more, the irrepressible Linzy runs the fine fan page, angry-feet.com, where you can find all my lyrics, loads more pics, obscure downloads and a forum where you can talk to other crazy people about all the things crazy people talk about.
This is the audio of my nine-minute beat poem, "Storm" from my new show, READY FOR THIS."Rock n Roll Nerd", filmed for the ABC's Sideshow in 2007:
"Not Perfect", filmed for the ABC's "Sideshow":A video clip of Canvas Bags made for the BBC's "Comedy Shuffle":By the by, my website has other downloads and stuff on it and is a tepid fountain fizzing with intriguing information.
Dunno if you'll get a change to read this or not, but I just wanted to say, you were amazing on halloween, my hands and lungs were hurting by the end, I hadn't came adequately prepared for it...
(verse 1) Just look around at the state that we're in the state of control that we're living in the dreams that are built and then mass produced to make the under achievers feel of no-use as the global machine bites down to the bone Communities stripped away to make room for the clones chipped and shipped the new way of brave the more that you give away the nearer the grave.
(chorus) There's a Poverty of spirit Just Realise that there ain't no limit There's a Poverty of spirit Just Realise that you have no limits. There's a Poverty of spirit Just Realise that there ain't no limit There's a Poverty of spirit Just Realise that you have no limits.
(verse 2) Media control keeps the masses in check while the masses stock up on their personal debts to sustain a life that the media has sold you'll get what you want when you do as you're told the agenda the crisis the solution its just a plan to cloud what they demand chipped and shipped the new way of brave the more that you give away the nearer the grave.
(chorus) There's a Poverty of spirit Just Realise that there ain't no limit There's a Poverty of spirit Just Realise that you have no limits. There's a Poverty of spirit Just Realise that there ain't no limit There's a Poverty of spirit Just Realise that you have no limits.
Come on ..are you gonna wake up its time for the New order shake up Come on ..are you gonna wake up its time to shake the system down to the ground you
Dear Tim, You are my favourite person. Ever. Apart from my family and stuff, but sometimes when they annoy me you become my all time favourite person, and they move down the list. I came to your show in Southampton on Friday the 30th of October, and I waited outside and met you afterwards. You might not remember, but I was the girl from Jersey who asked you to come play here! I really think you should come over on your next tour, or even just for a holiday, because everyone here thinks you're AMAZING, and people would turn up at your show and leave thinking 'WOW'. And you know, you could always stay at my house to save paying for accommodation! hahahaha, maybe that's a bit creepy. But if you get chucked out of your hotel, just come to my house. We have a spare room. Please carry on being funny and playing piano. I play piano too by the way! We should duet sometime.
Heya Gawjus, I hear Ur on buzzcocks next week , On noels team ! Just think of the amount of hair in that team ..MAS.. Anyways have fun ..make shure u do a lot of talking cuz u always seem a little quiet :P HAHA ... Love Yhoo So Much x x x x
Just discovered you a few days ago. Wow! You are amazing....musically, lyrically, comedically and wiggly sexily! Am gutted to discover you two days after you finished touring but look forward to seeing you with Noel on next week's "Buzzcocks". Thanks for adding me! Joolesx
I loved your appearance on Graham Norton's show - and your song 5 guys and 2 Pianos; and your duet at the end was awsome. You are so funny and talented, I'm so glad we're friends.
Here is something I wrote to aid the FaceBook protest for you. (I've never written in honour of anyone before unless you count China or John Lewis :S) Thought I'd post it here in case the protest fails. xXx
Get Tim back on Facebook
Mr FaceBook I have a request for you to abate Bring up Tim’s page and press ‘activate’ Are you threatened by his intellect? His ability to entertain? And yet perhaps , you feel bad as you can’t squeeze a Mac into skinny jeans Smile and wink and make girls scream, Because you don’t have a following of ginger Emo-kids. Is this any real reason to forbid him…..Tim? Just because his persona is brighter than Ursa Minor He’s reborn the acceptance to wearing guy-liner He plays piano better than any classical maestro That he is vibrant and clever and by no means retro. Because he worked long and hard to get to his place Not like you IT geeks who ripped off MySpace! I hope you realise that blocking his page is petty and juvenile And I have no hesitation in saying his fans will set up page after page , To aid his world domination. Bastard Facebook you’re just being poo.
Saw you in Derby Assembly Rooms the other month and on Jonathon Ross the other week, you were great, I loved that song you sang, 5 poofs and 2 pianos lol was lmao.
I'm really happy to see you on it too because something as big as Jonathon Ross gets ya big publicity like all the other comedians who have gone on and then people get interested in them and look them up :)
Hey Tim! I watched So f**king Rock! (You're right, that does look worse than the actual word). I just want to say, I love your song, 'Not Perfect'. I thought it was absolutely lovely. So, thank you for that :D. I may just buy So Rock on DVD now! Also, I loved 5 Poofs and 2 Pianos on Wossy. Hilarious. Its now stuck in my head! Thanks again.~JP
