Tim Beau is a singer/songwriter/composer currently based in the South East QLD area. Tim offers us a unique style of heartfelt acoustic melodies blended with raw emotions and fused into songs that resonate with the heart and soul of his audience.
His lyrics explore the emotional core of the human experience, turning the focus inward and charting terrain that spans the entire chasm between light and dark.
Tim has been playing guitar since the age of 10, finding an early inspiration in the musical offerings of Rodgers and Hammerstein, Danny Kaye and Robert Johnson. By age 14 he was composing original material, forming melodies and penning lyrics.
Tim's music has been building momentum ever since those tender beginnings, spurred on by his deep interest in the work of artists like Neil Young, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan and Eric Clapton, to name just a few.
Tim feels that his music is a constant work in progress, always evolving in limitless directions as he rediscovers his own voice and muse, always pushing them into new dimensions and avenues.
Tim participated in an original singer/ songwriter competition in 2007 and triumphantly claimed the title of "Find of the Year" with a soulful, inspiring performance at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre that wowed audiences and judges alike.
He featured at the 2007 Woodford Folk Festival playing daily on the Blue Lotus Stage and giving an exceptionally uplifting performance on the main Amphitheatre stage directly before the Waifs & following the Toothfaeries.
Tim plays every week in and around Brisbane and is currently working to promote his debut EP, building a solid fanbase and plugging into the national folk, blues and indie music scenes both as a soloist and accompanied by his band, Tim Beau and the Hot Summer.
